As always very helpful tips... I'm from the Azores, I was wondering if you could give some tips on looking for good slow jigging spots? Keep up the good work, thank you.

Generally you can catch fish on slow pitch at the same spots that the other guys fish with live bait or strips. But I noticed I get more bites when the boat is anchored as opposed to drifting. The jig tends to move better when it's straight up and down, when drifting it's harder to keep a straight line to the bottom.

personally, Ive always had much greater success drifting and covering ground. Looks for wrecks, reefs, ledges, any sort of structure. However open water jigging is very effective as well around bait/birds, even flat muddy bottom can produce tilefish and more.
