So no etch to clean off or bond to add on for curing the permanent cement?

The material used to seat the crown is a glass ionomer cement. It's not a bonding cement. The light curing element of this particular cement allows for a faster set up and therefore quicker clean up.

I notice my dentist did not use the curing light after he seated the crown will this cause problems? If so what kind of problems? Thank you.

Some cements need light cure, some are mixed in a syringe and self-cure with time! Both are perfectly good permanent options

If the tooth was previously treated with a root canal then no (unless gum tissue is in the way) If no previous RCT then typically get numb. Otherwise, cleaning off cement, washing and drying to tooth would be too sesnsitive.

Im so sorry youre dealing with that! Was this after a root canal, is it a screw-retained crown or a “normal” crown that just caps your tooth?

No root canal. Its a crown that fits over my tooth.
