finding good samples is like 90% of the work, i'll sometimes add some saturation/compression/eq though. also having a good transient is really important, most of the kicks are just sine waves so the transient is the most important part

Could you explain the bass for Fresh Static Snow. I know its a couple massive saw waves, but i cant get that filter to sound right. Is it post processing that makes it “roar” like that?

I tried to make it on Serum and on the filter I just used a low 24 and turned up the drive a good amount. Once I turned the drive up it really had that growly sound. I'm not sure how to get that sound on other synths, but if you use Serum that'll work!
