im 22 years old living at home feeling like a loser being there dealing with emotionally manipulative parents that i struggle to to build relationships with. I have 2 -3 jobs the third being delivering from grub hub as well as paying my way through art school which my folks could help me pay for but i rather not because I would feel less than a man. I make art every single fucking day from sculptures, sewing clothes , painting, digital design so I'm fucking tired but I can't stop because I know art is the only thing that will give me the courage to leave again . I create alone because I don't like relying on people so I make it happen on my own no excuses .And after Hearing Austin speak he made me want to go even harder than I already am , I put on a brave face but am decaying from the inside but my intuition and everything in my soul is telling me that I am going to make and that I will get opportunities beyond what I think is possible as long a s I continue to work. Gah dam man didn't realize I was about to write so much guess I just had to get shit off my chest.

You're doing great man. You have an awesome vision and doing more than most people can. Try your best to look at your situation with a different perspective. You can change your whole attitude and happiness from how you choose to look at things, find silver linings and a positive view and pick out good parts out of the bad and focus on them. You're doing good though man and deserve to be happy, I'm 30, homeless living in my car, addicted to heroin and barely eat ir sleep and slowly dying and know that to change my situation I will have to go through alot of physical pain and surrender completely and let go of trying to control my addiction and face some scary change and knowing all that I'm still not depressed and haven't given in to misery so I know you can be happy in your situation. Good luck man

I love Asspizza sm. I had the chance to meet him whenever he rolled through Arkansas. I was able to show him these two pairs of sweats that I sewed myself with these painted patches I made myself. He told me that he honestly really liked them and encouraged me to start selling my clothes and to keep pushing. Now, I get to participate as a designer in the NWA Fashion Week which is an opportunity that I could've only imagined for 3 years ago. I have the chance to display some of the things I've been making to a crowd of people. I've never really made money off of any of my art (I paint, draw, recently got into sculpting, screen print, sew...) and that's never really bothered me. I just want to make the things that pop up into my mind bc that's what makes me happy. That's what I *feel* like I need to be doing. I know that the path I'm on is right, too. No matter what anyone else thinks. Like a great person once said, nothing matters. So do you (as long as you're not hurting yourself or others of course)

Although patchwork was present for thousands of years in China and most recently in the punk scene in the 80's-90's, with the rise of the underground in various scenes, Dubstep that led to large EDM fests, trap that led to the billboard, now metaltrap and emotrap and various other genres resurfacing due to widespread use of the internet, this D.I.Y. and self expression approach will only get bigger and bigger and although some really do not have anything to say(just using the internet's huge platform for "clout"), it HAS given many young artists a chance to be accepted and to gain an audience just like any other traditional artist was on mainstream platforms(radio, TV, etc.). I think we will see in the future the "weirdos" of today being famous in 5 years and niches becoming mainstream, thus pushing the need of new subgenres and so on, and i love it. Also, the "punk" / self expression will become bigger and bigger in fashion and i hope, here to stay, thus breaking the traditional boundaries of "cheap" OR "expensive" and turning it into "my style" and "your style" how it was SUPPOSED to be.
@servidig4835 жыл бұрын
If asspizza is the one to push the self expression wave forward into the mainstream then i am all for it. We who create NEED this to happen so we actually get to be accepted and eventually live from our craft. I live this struggle but fight the same fight as Austin through my work.
