Assume (casual usage)= “without tangible evidence, or to be reluctant and take the element of evidence for granted”. eg) take up position, expect, believe, think. Presume (formal usage)= “Based on previous evidence, because the evidence recurred in the past ”. eg) arrogant and overconfident presumptions or presupposed.

I totally , agree with you , and I believe , though As you know , they requested to show a fact and I did just follow an order ; otherwise I fully trusted that the perfectness is not the ideal way , one must be modest , and tolerated even in the language . Thank you so much .

In retrospect, looking through at least the first few of these comments up here, I'm rather distinctly touched by how distinctly you've touched people here, James. I'm rather spiritual on every level, so I just assume to claim Elocution as my "religion", most personally. Here 8 years after the fact, I caught up with you finally, to say the least. I only wish I could better convey the over-the-top gauged base for comparison with which I come from in so saying that I'm very impressed and rather touched on a deeper personal fulfilling level than readily comprehensively conveyed and articulated by mere linear modes of mundane linguistic communication delivery, I surmise. I certainly hope you're endeavoring to keep up the great work even still, however, & I very genuinely appreciate your valuable contributions thus far already and this is the first of your videos I've even seen, which is really something in my book, to say the least. Be blessed, Good Sir - you and your own.

An assumption can be sometimes hard to detect, can't it? I have found out recently that people who get angry about some result they are angry because they assumed another result which was their desire. I presume it is a rule. You can assume it or check out on your own. An advantage of this knowledge is if you don't want to be angry, you shouldn't assume too much. Cheers from Poland.

Glad you covered criminal presumptive protocol back then for Canada and France in this instance. It certainly illuminated the nature of America these days more definitively.. Which outright lies, at least insofar as Oklahoma's concerned regarding my own presumptiveness.. True, I'm not even sure whether the policy got tossed under the table unbeknownst to us or not, but this "innocent til proven guilty" bs doesn't have a leg to stand on around here given my own experiential analytics.

is suppose synonymous of assume?
@omp19912 жыл бұрын
The definition of "presume" that James gives in this video is incorrect. Presuming something doesn't mean that there is any prior evidence. The "pre-" part means "before", but it implies that you are taking something as given *before* taking into account any evidence. "Presumed innocent" means that you are treated as if you are innocent before the verdict is reached.
@wilderichard7 жыл бұрын
I presume according your explanation; presumption of something would come after evidence or wouldn't? I'm thoroughly confused 😳 but anyway thanks! 😎
@foodisgoodthatsthetruth32312 жыл бұрын

Thank you for this video, it’s very helpful. The only thing that disturbed me, is when you say that there is no such thing as the presumption of innocence. French law also shares the fundamental principle of the presumption of innocence. Then again, if with such an assertion, you were referring to the fact that in reality this principle isn’t applied effectively is a different question. If so it would be a little bit offensive though, and it would smacks more of a personal opinion rather than the reality. Anyway, I don’t know how you came up with that, but your statement is certainly moot, if not utterly untrue. I suppose it wasn’t your intention to be rude, but still, I highly recommend you to be more careful when asserting such a strong statement. Especially when it’s a video who is being view by so many people. Regards.
