I honestly wish they put more time into this fight and the Yuno vs Langris fight instead of the captain battle. The captain battle was cool and all, but really unnecessary in terms of plot. This fight and the Yuno vs Langris fight are actually related to the plot, so I think they should've gotten priority.

Oh, I really think they are doing a great job with these Semi-fillers episodes. That is to be expected of a long running series. Besides, the spade kingdom arc is about to begin as the comment above me said. There are a lot of big fights on that one, so it is likely that the competent animators are working on those fights right now instead of these anime canon/filler fights.
