Which isn't funny, but instead truly a dick move, as Astarion rightly points out: How do you define "thinking creature" if magic allows a druid to talk to animals (and even plants)? So that leaves Astarion with... what? It would be like a druid forcing a carnivore to only eat grass (and starve) from now on. It's not like Astarion has a choice, he _has_ to drink blood. Druids are all about the cycles of nature, and that includes hunting and lifeforms eating each other (otherwise fast-breeding prey animals like rodents and insects would destroy the ecosystem). Druids are not vegans, far from it. Ever heard of the Wild Hunt?

@TF2CrunchyFrog I know it's a dick move, I didnt do it in my playthrough for that reason, its just the sassy comment he made about druid talking to a tree that struck me as funny when I ran across a clip of it

Interesting... if you don't skip the first opportunity to tell him to stop while Astarion feeds on you (as you did here 4:03 min) and use Persuasion (which on that first roll has quite a low difficulty) to tell him it's enough, he will immediately retreat as well, but the scene you get when he says "I feel strong now. Happy." is slightly different: The dialogue is the same, but the camera is closer to him and zooms in on his face as he says "happy", and he sounds gentler and is genuinely smiling, looking overwhelmed by the rush of tasting non-animal blood for the first time. In the scene I got, he sounded far more grateful than in your version. And in that version, the music is less sinister... although that might just be ambiental because you camped in a spooky cave. All the first bite scenes I've seen so far happened while camping in the open in Act 1; in that case the talk the morning after when you ask him why he doesn't burn in the sun and Astarion replies"Oh no, I should be cinders in this light" makes far more sense when they're _not_ in a dark cave. 😉 So if you let him feed longer, he gets more cocky and confident, I guess.

Looks like you forgot to succeed in stopping him upon the first prompt after the bite. 'cause I don't think I see the "That... That was amazing~." line from Astarion.

Can I be weird and ask what order in which you are doing certain quests/recruiting/etc.? I am doing pretty much the same playthrough with Dark Urge and going for an Astarion romance, but it seems I've missed something. I'm not getting the same dialogues 😔😭

Since I checkpoint every event as a save, I can give you the sequence. TBH i was just wandering around, lol. But after every "notable" fight/action, or when I enter a new zone, I would speak to Astarion. Some interactions require him to be the only person in your party to get his dialogue 100%, otherwise it will randomly go to one of your party members (therefore sometimes you see me only having him in the party). Take note to Long Rest. Most of the romance interactions are during Long Rests. (Spoilers below for Act 1, it basically almost covers all activities in it.) I first recruited companions, Shadowheart > Astarion > Laezel > Gale. Then I did Withers > Visited Grove, Got Wyll > Did random stuff in the Grove like talking to Kagha and saving Findal etc > Left and explored, encountered Edowin > Blighted Village > Got Karlach and did her paladins quest > Spider cave > Saved that tiefling child from the harpies > Necromancy book > Goblin camp (just visited and interacted, did not kill or progress anything) > Sunlit lands for Mephits fight and to progress Kagha's story > Resolved Kagha's story at the Grove > Went back to the Goblin camp and wiped out everyone > Saved Halsin > Celebration with the tieflings > Auntie Ethel questilne > Githyanki Patrol Now I'm in the Underdark.

​@heshbruwn thank you so much! Honestly I think I was doing Long Rest too much because my entire camp location changed, and I missed a whole bunch of scenes 😔 I've been cataloging though, so it'll be easy to go back and fix. Hopefully. 🤞

@heshbruwn are you Long Resting every time you go to camp? I guess that's where I'm getting confused lol 😆

@@NegligentRhymes Most of my camp videos are Long Rests. If it looks dark, it's right before I hit the rations, if it's bright, it's the morning after. There are a couple of overworld dialogue in my later compilations, but you can see from the background which ones are those. Sometimes he has new dialogue after major events which don't need long rests and you can simply talk to him, so it doesn't hurt to check in with him from time to time.
