@@PaperiLiidokki It is true Gman has barely anything to negotiate with him, but I do think he has some options considering Trazyn is a true historian at his cold metal heart. Perhaps sharing forbidden secrets of the Imperium and the Emperor, or maybe trade him relics from a forbidden vault on Terra, or maybe if we go into extremes, he could offer a few planets as compensation. However, I think the best card he could play would be offering to team up to capture the real demon Fulgrim. A legion of Astartes and Necrons marching into the pleasure palace to find the real primarch, as well as numerous Eldar artifacts I imagine Trazyn would very much like in his possession. Trazyn would have the legitimate original Primarch in his gallery, and Imperium would take the pure warp-clean clone.

I think Fulgrims soul now resides in the clone body, but i agree the winged Laer abomination isn't Fulgrim. I stand by my take that the Laer blade Deamon eventually convinced itself that it was in fact Fulgrim, like a deranged method actor. There was no reason that 'Fulgrim' would ever adopt a 'perfect' body so similar to a Laer unless it was one.

Agreed. I do find it kind of funny how inconsistent the lore writers can be. Vulkan aside, it can feel like a mighty primarch will be able to tank all sorts of horrendous wounds one story, but then die from a comparative scratch in the next one. And speaking of which. Clonegrim was just epic here, he had a discipline, maturity and regalness that the original Fulgrim did not have even when he had before his his fall to chaos and contrasted with his "Brother" in a awesome way. I hope they bring him back into the story because if would present some awesome storytelling potential, that being he struggles with the fact that he is nothing but a copy and suffers from having all the awful memories of the original but has the benefit of learning from the mistakes of his forbearer, lots of existential drama right there . If they play it right, they can turn Clonegrim into the Duncan Idaho of WH40k. Also well done was that Fulgrim gave off a strong Joker vibe here, which fits his character as a Daemon prince.

You lost your head?" he tried to taunt him , composing himself and took a battle stance they clashed , warrior paring multiple blade attacks and dodging overhead strikes that would have cut him in half in the end Fulgrim martial prowess was astonishing , managing to put all four sword in the warrior chest , one directly in the hart "SUCH A PLEASURE TO KILL YOU AGAIN BROTHER" but the there was a pause the warrior grabbed the hand that pierced his hart and shove it deeper to hear an empty armor and with the other hand smacked Fulgrim square in the face Fulgrim laid on the ground picking himself off face broken , jaw hanging off his cheek , nose beading . enraged he look at the warrior prepared to end him but something was different , he now seemed off , only to realize that he held back , that he wanted to ruin him , and now Fulgrim felt like a little bird in front of a massive gorgon scared he started to flee , he wanted to fly away just to realize the warrior cut his wings in the earlier encounter he began to crawl away barking orders to his sons to cover his retreat and prepare extraction immediately just to feel a barrage a a roaring cannon obliterating his sons and putting him on the ground he looks back to see a contemptor dreadnought behind him , grabbing his tail and lifting him and smacking him a few times on the ground just to be thrown at the feet of the warrior "UGH ... WHAT IS HE DOING HERE" he screamed referring to the dreadnought while picking himself slowly off the ground "DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND , IM A GOD SO HOW CAN YOU ...." a sword priced his heat from the back while the warrior stabbed him in the front the clone spoke "After all that talk about perfection , all your past mistakes came here to end you... as i sad ... you are pathetic " Fulgrim fell on the ground and the last thing he saw was the boot of the warrior stomping his head. the clone looked at the warrior , with his mission done he expected to meet his end , but the warrior just gave him his sword , took his hand and burned it , a burn that wont heal composing himself and after the rush of the duel worn off , he hurried back to aid his sons , just to see an army of space marines , burning just like the warrior they reinforced the clones warriors , providing cover and fire support were was needed , the clone threw a sigh of relief "he will come back" said the warrior with a heavy tone "when he does , make sure you do not need my help" he and his warrior beginning to be engulfed in flames , and then , there was no sign of them , just the bodies of the traitors the clone caught sight of the dreadnought right before he departed with his fellow warriors , and by some reason he felt that he nodded at him "i wont fail you this time brother, i promise" bad writing? the scenario popped in my mind as soon as the animation ended . might be a bit cheesy but i like the ending

So Clonegrim escapes from Trazyn, possibly with Creed in tow and leads the Sons of the phoenix against Daemon Fulgrim. His Goal? Somewhere in the Emperors children’s Flagship is a painting containing the Tattered remnants of the uncorrupted portion of his soul that his original self abandoned. Without the soul that was handcrafted for him by the emperor, Clonegrim will never feel like the genuine article, just a soulless knock off. If he can take the soul he’ll have more of a claim to being the true Fulgrim than the Daemonic original does. Whether this desire to be complete is a character flaw remains to be seen but in Clonegrim eyes he’ll never truly be able to redeem himself until he actually has his soul back. At least, that’s the direction I think a Clonegrim story may go.

The theory on clonegrim being special is because most primarch clones are just soulless knock offs unlike clonegrim who has at least part of his soul. Yeah the soul that was in that painting.

Besides, when put in the painting, Fulgrim was already deep in Slaanesh corruption, if he escaped, that mean Clone Fulgrim still got all the corruption, the only barrier he had left was his love for Ferrus, but he was already on the route to daemonhood

I like the idea of rylanor being returned by the emperor as a living Saint. And showing up to the clonegrim/snakegrim battle as snakegrim has the upper hand. Then snakegrim completely freaks out allowing clonegrim to get the upper hand and land a decisive blow against snakegrim. Snakegrim, suddenly isn't regenerating anymore due to the wound rylanor left on his pride. In the end, snakegrim dies, and clonegrim is mortally wounded. The laer blade whispers to clonegrim, begging him to take it, telling him it can save him. But he rejects it, saying something meaningful. "Corruption can never taint perfection" or "I know where this choice leads, and I will not allow myself to be tainted again."
