This was a great tutorial on how to program this light. Thank You for explaining it so well.

Thanks for the help with that I bought my tank used and it came with viparspectra lights but I didn't have the manual so I have been stuck turning it on and off every morning for the past few months just on whatever settings the old owners had it at

70 blue and 30 daylight work good for corals?
@richardschwindt5222 жыл бұрын
I had my dsuny leds same as what you had for around 9 years. Just replaced them with the updated panels from dsuny. Hope I get the same mileage out of the new ones.

What do you recommend for a 75gal tank? I have two viparespectra165 Ch1 70 blue Ch2 20 daylight Ch1 on at 10am off at 10 pm. Ch2 on at 12 midday and off at 8pm
@DeeFromBrooklyn4 ай бұрын
@woulfcbavo908 It greatly depends on what you're keeping. If the tank is still new I limit the light levels until it's cycled

Hey, nice vid. I can only adjust my brightness in increments of 10 do you know how to change this?
@DeeFromBrooklyn2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can adjust in increments of white or blue
@tubbyly1265 Жыл бұрын
The new ones let us only do increment of 10s

I wonder how I can hang this light with no ceiling above me damkit
@seanmitchell1245 Жыл бұрын
@@tubbyly1265I hung mine with L shaped planter hangers. It's too bad I can't share a pic, but they look like L shaped shelf brackets for shelves, but they have a half moon thing at the end used for plants. It works great! Make sure you use drywall anchors. It could be a problem for everything if they fell into your tank.😅

Hello, could you tell me what percentage I put on the white light and what percentage I put on the blue light, please?…
@DeeFromBrooklyn2 жыл бұрын
There's no set number. Depends on what you have in the tank. You can start with 50/50 if you want. Every tank is different

I have one over a saltwater fish tank, 29 gallon. I have it 13" above the tank, with whites at 60% & 90% on the blues my tanks normally run 78 degress, but this tank runs 82 degrees. I think it might be to much light for a 29 gallon reef tank? Anyway I'm gonna try some other LED light maybe an Orbit marine LED, ? Anybody have simular issues with high heat ?
@DeeFromBrooklyn6 ай бұрын
@leonardbarron6967 I have a fan on that tank in the summer as evaporation is nuts. It runs hot but not necessarily from the lights but the pumps also generate heat
@viniciusvaldir1Ай бұрын
does it works to SPS too?
@DeeFromBrooklynАй бұрын
@@viniciusvaldir1 Yes, once you've got your coral placed and adapted to the light settings they'll take off

Never seen one of those used on a fish tank before. Lol (I use Mars Hydro panels, but not on my tanks)

Some are specifically made for plants but these are used by many saltwater aquarist
