Asterism is: Haruka (Hal-Ca) Noma, lead guitar and vocals, born 11/23/2002 Miyu Yoshinaka, bass, born 3/12/2002 Mio Yoshinaka, drums, born 11/14/1999 All started playing at a young age (Haruka at 10, Mio and Miyu at 6-8). They all attended the Yamaha Music Foundation school in Fukuoka. They originally performed separately (Mio and Miyu, Haruka) but were put together to perform in the annual Yamaha Music Revolution competition in 2014. They played several festivals and competed in various music competitions until the release of their first EP, The Session Vol. 1, in 2017. It included three covers and two original songs (155 and Magic Bullet) both written by Haruka. She wrote 155 when she was 11 and they can be seen playing it in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJildKCLjNangLc when they were 11, 11 and 13. Their second EP, the Session Vol. 2 was released a year later and included two more original songs (Rising Moon and Yunagi). Their first full length album, Ignition, was also released in 2018 and included seven original songs and two covers. All the original songs on these EPs and album were written by Haruka between the ages of 11 and 15. Ignition is mostly traditional hard rock and metal and includes Dawn, Blaze and Light in the Darkness. The fancam videos of Dawn, at Club Utero, and Blaze and Light in the Darkness, at Fukuoka Graf (Welcome to Inferno Vol. Max), are classics. They toured Asia and the US supporting the release of Ignition. They produced a series of live in studio performances of most of these songs (battle sessions and 360 videos) and all are available on KZbin. They next released an EP (Guernica) and then a full-length album extension of the EP (Guernica+a) in 2020. These releases marked a change in style to a more progressive metal/rock sound and includes classics such as Church and Gunfire. All the songs on these releases are original songs. They did live in studio performances of almost all the songs on Guernica+a and these are available on KZbin. Asterism is perhaps best before a live audience. Haruka has amazing charisma and stage presence for anyone, not to mention for a small (under 5’ tall) Japanese woman. She plays with skill, soul and a ferocious attitude, and a smile on her face almost the whole time. Most recently Asterism has released an album of anime song covers (Animetic), an extended version of that album with the singer PelleK providing vocals and two EPs and an album of original songs with Haruka on vocals called Aside, Beside and Decide. There are official music videos of most of the songs on Animetic. They play frequently at clubs in Tokyo and did a small US tour with shows in LA and NYC and performances on the street in Venice Beach and Hollywood Blvd. Haruka particularly has a significant presence on social media with an active Instagram channel and her own KZbin channel. She frequently posts playthroughs of their own songs and a lot of covers. Recommended songs for reactors, in chronological order include: • 155 (RH in 2014) - see one of their earliest performances of one of their first original songs • Rising Moon (Official MV) - a well-produced music video of one of their other early songs • Blaze and/or Light in the Darkness (Welcome to the Inferno Vol. Max) - two exceptional performances (fan cam) at a small club before an enthusiastic hometown crowd • Dawn (live 4/20/2019) - a good quality fancam of their performance of Dawn at Club Utero • Church and/or Gunfire (live in studio) - professionally produced live in studio performances. • Scuttle Buttin’ (SRV cover) - fancam of a SRV cover with their own flavor • Unravel (official MV) - professionally produced music video of an anime cover off of Animetic • Fiction (official MV) - first official MV of a song with Haruka vocals There are tons of other videos of live performances and several additional live in studio and fan cam videos. Just about anything by Asterism is fantastic. Asterites (or what do we call ourselves) feel free to correct or add to this.

A slight correction - they were introduced to each other at the 8th Music Revolution in 2014, and first performed there at the 9th in 2015, winning 2 categories. I would only add that I prefer the performance of Rising Moon at the 9th Music Revolution, when Haruka was still 12 to the MV. You can see Haruka's stage presence in front of an audience was there at that age :-) kzbin.info/www/bejne/eH6wi3VqisSge80 Oh, and the 'Welcome to the Inferno' vids are pro-shot with FoH sound, not fan cams ;-) Some links to the vids you mentioned not on their official channel ASTERISM 『DAWN』2019/04/20 kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKa0gal_g6-Wd5I ASTERISM 『Scuttle Buttin』(Stevie Ray Vaughan cover)2019/03/30 kzbin.info/www/bejne/eKWlkImojrGFl68 I would also add that anything pre-Animetic is perfectly safe for reactions, as they were unsigned. From Animetic onwards they are with Sony. Don't know of anyone having trouble, but probably best to keep partially obscured for these just in case.

Haruka is a very "analog" player. She uses bends, slides, the whammy bar, wah pedals, etc to to bend and shape notes. She is literally an unbelievable guitarist and while this one is an overall classic there are other songs where her solos are even more incredible.

Their name says it all. 3 of the perhaps brightest shining stars of our time in the music sky. 🌟🤘🏻 Until this year, they were a pure instrumental band. In the meantime, however, the lovely beast on the guitar also sings. In their two latest videos for 'Fiction' and 'Stardom' you can hear for yourself. :) ___________________ 「 _"完璧なんてありえない" / Perfection? No one gets there._ 」 - from *BAND-MAID* - 'Warning' 🎶🕊

Asterism means a group of stars ! Hal - Ca is as good as anyone on the guitar ! I'm a Jimi Hendrix fan I have most of his albums and 35 of his CD's ! Hal-Ca could play most of his songs, maybe not with her teeth or behind her back that's why Jimi's the Goat=) Asterism is great and they will be superstars one day ! Please check out "Rising-Moon" MV [ AL The Sessions Vol. 2 ] its a more polished performance =) Thanks Great Reaction btw MISA from Band-Maid plays a 5 string bass .

I adore this performance. It's so perfectly performed by all 3 band members and is, to me, one of the great musical performances of all time. Asterism are cool with reactors so no worries there.

I was already starting to wonder whether anyone would ever suggest Asterism - a very talented band playing just instrumental music. P.S. Watch Davie504 play a 24 STRINGS BASS SOLO or even better 69 STRINGS BASS SOLO (World Record).

MIYU is fantastic on the bass. You'll have no doubt noticed that this band hasn't got a rhythm guitar(ist). Often MIYU fills in for the missing rhythm guitar on that 7-string bass, whilst also keeping the bass line going; I think it is one of the reasons this band can produce such a full sound for an instrumental rock/metal trio.
