Some real insight into owning a show car. You're operating at a level I couldn't imagine. The most outstanding part for me are the wheels. It's rare to find something looks as good as Bathurst Globes.

Dear Howard, I'm a ford lover through and through. I've followed your cars you have built through street machine for the last 25 years or so. You have always delivered. But with' BOSS XC' , You have excelled yourself by far. You obtained STYLE WITH LUXURY. So to you sir and all your team, I take my hat off to you. WELL DONE!

Above all else, you're honest in opinion and keep to your word Howard, which has been evident not only in the build of BossXC, but also the build series of all your cars. What a fantastic insight into what goes into the creation of true works of art and the achievements you and your team rightly deserve. I've been a subscriber to Street Machine magazine since the early 90's and a lasting memory is the Pioneer Coupe cruising Melbourne streets in crazy traffic. LEGEND! I'm looking forward to the build of the panelvan...

It’s been a great build series and what a beautiful car. Anyone would be proud to own it. I never imagined the amount of work that was involved in a show car of that standard and the skills and knowledge required to bring it from a dream to reality. Thank you Howard and the team for the entertainment and education. Looking forward to future videos of the “Boss” and other projects.

Just got to say, I've never really been a car enthusiast, but in the last two years have found a love for it. I discovered a couple of channels that I follow and yours is the pinnacle of them all I'd say. Your dedication to your work and attention to detail is amazing. The fact you know where the defects are shows to me that, given time, you could win almost any comp you go in. I've said in a past comment that if I won lotto, you'd be my guy to build my dream car and that has only been solidified over the past few months. And yes, I'd better hurry up and get the winning ticket. Congratulations to you and everyone who work on the "Boss". Good luck for the future and can't wait to see what you do next. I'll be watching.

First up - amazing achievement. What a build. The insight you show the everyday builder is incredible and so valuable. For that I thank you. I've been doing cars for yesrs but I've learnt so much from your channel. It's become my most watched show this last year - something I've never done on KZbin Channel. Secondly - the depth you offer on how to proceed on a rebuild has been fantastic. I never had this sort of thing when I started on cars and now this is a huge help, seeing someone work on the same cars you're doing. Finally - ypu're doing a van next :) I'm doing an XB GS (Red Pepper) at the moment, it was our family car for many years and now's it's being restored by me for the next generation to enjoy. I look fotrward to the work on the van and for the first time, I get to play along at home :)

Mate mate mate. Stand back, take a breathe and admire your acheivement. Time is never on our sides with these things. But you designed and created, a work of art. Lets not forget this is all still from someone with no professional training. Constantly acheiving results at the highest levels. Once you have a rest your will love the next stage of trully perfecting it, in the readiness for Motorex. That will be its true stage and you will be able to soak it all in and enjoy it even more.

I've really enjoyed this whole journey throughout the build process. I'm a Holden owner, I've only owned Holden's apart from a few Japanese cars in my impoverished youth, but I always read Street Machine in my younger days and very much admired your work. I think that people in all walks of life can learn a lot from watching you go through the process of what you do. Your success is from working hard, but more than that it's about focusing on the fine details, and being critical of yourself. That's what makes the difference between an average car builder and an artist, and what you do is art, it really is.
@AstillDesign

Thanks Glen much appreciated. You really have captured who I am. My Dad was always very critical of my work with me, but I'm sure that was to get the best out of me. When I wasn't there he was full of praise. That pushed me to have everything right in his eyes.

Thank you to Howard and team for taking us along for the journey to build BOSSXC. Thank you also to the owner Peter for allowing us to get up close and personal with the build and the car. I think many of us have a far more appreciation of the effort, time, $ and personal sacrifices that must be made for the enjoyment of a street machine of this quality. I really look forward to what is to come in 2023 for the channel and I'd really like to see the team working through that "defect" list of yours Howard. I know it can be a strain documenting everything, but us mere mortals don't usually get to see a ground up build in the way you have documented it.

Great achievement Howard and your team. Your honest self reflection and acknowledgement of the unfinished bits on the car is a breath of fresh air. No hype, no fabricated drama, just honest accounts of what it is really like to build a modified street/show car with all of the highs and lows that go along with such a build. This is why you have such a large following Howard - again, well done.

being in the judging arena in the past, the amount of time and detail needed to maximise the presentation of a show car most people looking from the other side of the rope will not know how much is involved and effort that is needed. for you all to get the car to the summernats is a major effort in itself, the "minor" adjustments needed to get it to your level of standards will lift it to the next level and be a serious show car contender. for the cars first outing it is a fantastic result and a massive thumbs up for all involved to help it get there.

Mate what you and all the team achieved in the time you had is amazing. Take a bow. It is credit to you to go around the car & point out all the little things that need to be done. Most car builders wouldn't do that. Will it be at any local or localish carshows in the future ? Would love to see your PV in the build. Will you be doing videos of the things you want to fix mate ?

Nice to see an XC Falcon for a refreshing change. Great colour, perfect wheels and the twin headlights just make it. There was recently a very rare XC Falcon GS Hardtop original survivor that sold on Oz Muscle Car Sales that hopefully will be loved like this car. Well done.

I have an absolute admiration for you, and your entire crew (childcare included), with what have been able to accomplish. As I owned an XC Cobra (number 205) many years ago, I’m looking forward to seeing the ones you did, in your build series.

Bloody stunning, so cool to watch it all happen through this channel. Thanks for sharing your craft. I am still hung up on the 2 front Ford badges, just the oval is enough IMHO. That blue is delicious and the FG interior is brilliantly integrated in. Time for the van build now Howard 👌

Mate, what you and your team has done, in the time you’ve all done it, and with everything going on in the background, is absolutely phenomenal! It’s a bit of a change from the days at BH but your passion, enthusiasm, drive and attention to detail doesn’t seem to have changed. I just hope your lawn hasn’t suffered lol. Great job guys and girls. And congratulations on what is still an excellent result.

Nit pickers can be frustrating, but I'm glad people picked because it allowed you to highlight so many minor details that people like me wouldn't have either noticed or thought of. The XC looks absolutely stunning as it is, I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's at a level that you're content with, that will be special.

Thanks for having the balls to show everyone the imperfections as minor as they are. I built myself a tidy torana that blew the average person away but I could pick it to pieces and wondered how you elite guys got your cars perfect.

At the end of the day, only 2 people need to be happy with the finished product and that's the owner and you the builder, you shouldn't be hard on yourself mate, you've done a great job, I learnt years ago that 100% is like that mythical unicorn 🦄, I look forward to seeing the dyno session and final engineering
