More videos More views likes and comments = more money that's why but usually it's the bigger channels who do it small channels like these it's just pointless
@JCglitchmaster5 ай бұрын
It's actually because youtube heavily encourages it. The algorithm goes heavily on watch time and consistent uploads, 6 20 minute videos are more likely to have higher engagement (total time of the video watched) than a 2 hour video which will promote the video more (which you'd be encouraged to do to not potentially waste their filming/editting time). If youtube didn't encourage shitty practices like clickbait, splitting videos up into multiple videos and padding out the video it would happen so much less.
@CARnivor-marcel5 ай бұрын
@@JCglitchmaster It also depends on your own possibilities. If I produced 2 hour long videos, maybe one or two videos a year would come onto my channel.

Expect about a dozen views from me trying to copy what you did! 😀 *Update - car dismantled. A lot of oil! Pcv system had been "deleted" and many perished pipes. I now have new silicon pipes and all the parts I need to restore this lovely car back to a mechanically sound vehicle!

I bought for my wife a 52 plate, 2002 Audi TT 225 in this colour, Silbersee metallic, obviously with twin exhausts, black leather, Bose & a 6 CD changer and low mileage (6k) in 2004. It was the first “sort of premium” car we’d ever had. She kept it until 2006, when she totally changed preferences and got a Rangerover Evoque. The TT sold for £1500 in 2016, only two owners and around 100k miles. It looked almost as good as it drove away as it had the day we picked it up from an Audi dealer twelve years earlier. The paint was bulletproof. Nothing major had been replaced, still on the original clutch, though all brakes had been replaced. Coil packs also towards the end as idle had become erratic and it wasn’t TB related. It ate tyres though and was vulnerable to punctures from rubbish country roads. Other than that, it was totally reliable, never failing to proceed. Oh, it used to eat front sidelight bulbs, which I put down to slight corrosion in the lamp holders and dodgy earths. And door micro switches that drop the windows a few mm when opened, and rolled them up upon closing the doors. Instead of replacing the entire door locking mechanism, the Audi recommended fix, I created & installed positive return springs under the micro switches. A square of the plastic from dart flights was bent to form a Z-fold & superglued into place. As it proved, this was a permanent solution & I never even needed to replace the homemade return springs. Genuinely cannot think of anything else going wrong in well over a decade & nominally entire life of the car.

She got an Evoque 5 years before they came out? Impressive!
@jonno14685 ай бұрын
@@tobyholt4682 I think the 2006 is a typo as he says it was sold in 2016 and there had only been two owners at that point, them being the second.

What a bargain you got Ben! A lot of car for very little money. When I blend paint on a panel I never spray right up to the tape - try not to get any base or clear up to the tape, for the base colour coat and clear i just lift the gun or the can away from the surface gradually towards the edges of the main repair. That way i find i get a much more gradual change from the old to new. I do that for both the clear and the colour, though obviously i take the clear out a bit further. Where i lift the gun or can away towards the edges of the clear coat it can look a bit dry, but that is where that can of blending thinners does it's magic, the slightest whiff of that stuff will blend the new clear to the old giving it a lovely shine. Looking forward to seeing you taking it around the ring - hope it's a dry day for you - though with the four wheel drive you will have fun either way!

Hands down the best car I ever owned. The quality of the car was outstanding, and it was quick. Owned BMW’s, rx8, and now I have an Audi a3 saloon S line, but the TT was special. SUPERB WORK! I bought a Mk2 Silver TT convertible a couple of years ago that was in a similar mess! I had seen a Mk1 restoration like this and how things just worked after a bit of cleaning and servicing. And how refined it was, and how clean underneath etc...and I decided I wanted one and a Mk2 with all the bells and whistles. Which I got, heated leather seats, AC, Full electric roof, 2L turbo etc. But it was an utter mess, dirt, grime, moss green hood, every panel was scratched, the interior had broken bits of trim or missing trim and looked like skip, full of rubbish. I spent about 3 months restoring and cleaning. I got all the panels pristine via electric polish, fully serviced it, restored the roof, fixed or replaced the broken trim, and had the wheels done professionally as they were worse than yours sadly. It now looks brand new. Like you I ended up going above and beyond as once you start, you cant stop and the Audi TT is so classy and executive its worth it. The heated seats are a joy in winter and the engine is great, its quiet and quick. I have upgraded parts like adding more leather to the inside and put in a whole new double din stereo for the TT so it all blends and looks stock. All I can say is, just repaint the entire wing now you have done the light. Sand the rest slightly and mask off the wing and blow it all over with paint and it will save the effort of trying to blend it in and masking lines. It will fix all the scratches and bring it up to the quality of the rest of the car. When you sell it on you will make a lot of profit. If I were you I would keep it......

In 07 I bought an 05 TT 3.2L Quattro SLine with DSG and only 14k miles. I’ve had it for 18 years. For most of that time, it’s been the lowest cost of ownership car I’ve ever owned. Just recently decided to give it a refresh and fix problems related to being parked outdoors. Re-did the headliner, had the roof and rear deck painted. Replaced the AC compressor. Ignition coils. Replaced the headlights that were all opaqued and had some wires rat bit. It runs like a top. 250 hp and the best exhaust note of any TT. I love my TT. Couple of points- There is a release cable for the rear hatch either in the tunnel under the cup holder, or in the rear set. And a release for the fuel filler behind the access door for the right side tail light. Sometime just locking and unlocking the car door with the key a couple times will reset the electronic controls for the windows, release buttons etc. The radio safe code can be found in the car documentation if it came with the car. ( like if the window is not opening a little and closing when you open and close the door ) And with Quattros- it’s really important that left and right tires match in wear/diameter. So if you replace, say, the left front, replace the right front at the same time. Same for the rear tires, replace them in matching pairs. If they don’t match, that alone can cause some ABS/EPS issues.

You may need to pair the key with the car again. This happened with my A4 B5 estate I used to have many moons ago. You change the battery and then put the key in the door whilst pressing and holding the top button- you then turn it anti clockwise and hold in that position (for about 10 seconds) whilst still holding the button down and then turn clockwise and hold in the clockwise position for about 10 seconds (also whilst keeping the button pressed down). Then take key out and it should have paired itself once more

If you’re willing to cut the factory wiring behind the stereo a standard ISO plug can be fitted quite easily, I recently did this on a 2004 Audi A3 with full Bose. One of the stickers on the factory head unit will have a wiring diagram on it to give you pointers. The basics of it are there is 4 positive connections for each of the speakers (2 front and 2 rear) and 1 shared ground. The sub doesn’t have its own feed direct from the stereo. You will then find that there is 1 cable which requires an ignition live so that the amp powers up when the ignition/stereo turns on. P.s love the content!

Hi Ben, just watched this Audi video. You done well. The foam edge tape you should use to mask around to top swage line and forward on the wing away from where you are painting. Don't worry it's always difficult to to know where to place tapes. Also the rattle can- there is only 10% paint in the can and the rest is 90% thinners. One way to do it is to place the can in a pot of boiling water 10 mins before you want to use it. It will be hot to hold but put a glove on. Shake the can for a little while that will atomise the paint and it will spray out better for you. Keep it up well done on these jobs. Regards Dave.
