Aston Martin DB11: Should You Get The V8 Or The V12?

"if you want a real Aston, get the V12. If you want the V8, get the AMG GT and save about 100k"... As you said, the 100k pays for the exclusivity. If you pull up somewhere in an AMG GT versus the DB11, you'll be way more respected driving something as luxurious and prestige as an Aston Martin. It's a gentleman's car. If you can afford the V12 go for it but the V8 with a tune and a few extra goodies and you'll be making more power than the V12 without the extra 300lbs of weight the V12 in the front end.

300lbs less AND since the engine is behind the front axle, all that front heavy weight is gone making the car more nimble and agile, better for cornering on twisty roads

This car is beautiful no doubt. But the interior, particularly the controls, infotainment etc, looks very bland, very Merc Benz and boring compared to others in its class.

The infotainment is easily AMG. However, once you get into the interior customization it is a different story. The colored "Brogue" and contrast stitching help, especially if you have a Red, Cream, or Dark Knight interior. You are correct for most specs, as most DB11s come with a black interior with minimal touches. But find the right spec and it looks great!
