Great vid! Straight to the point with yapping like all other creators lol. However, some of these things an external shop can do for cheaper no? Oil and filter, tire change, alignment, coolant and brake flush. Unless you’re actually gonna do over 200mph, a cheaper tire option might be possible and you’ll definitely save on labor costs. Also, with a little research and space you can do the oil yourself as well.

Thank you 🙏 I'll be creating more of these short videos sharing ownership cost on some of these beast. So yes an independent shop would save thousands, I'm just OCD with my cars I like OEM spec only fluids components. It's especially important on high end cars like this which 99% of independent shops skip switch to like aftermarket fluids or components to save money. Aftermarket brake pads could cause horrible squaking in these high performance brake system. Tires would probably be only thing you might be able to get away with of course but suspension alignmentfor 200mph+ has to be perfect. Because of lack of independent shops around us that lack skill set or ability to source oem spec my dad who used to be in the car business will eventually open up a euro spec service shop I can't wait!

I feel for you because it’s difficult to find an independent mechanic for these. The dealer has egregious pricing and sometimes isn’t even the most knowledgeable about issues. We ended up using my Porsche independent mechanic for most servicing on a 2010 DBS, it’s 1/3rd the price.

It is very difficult yes, I did just obtain a commercial property tho to store more collector cars. So finally now I can install a lift, compressor and work on my own collection. I know how to service exotic cars from years of mechanical work I just needed the space and lifts to do it and I'll just buy the oem parts/ fluids from now on. I LOVE the 2010 DBS!

It’s built/assembled here in England- enough said. Buy something from our German counterparts and you’ll be better off. Best bits of Aston are probably the design and the Mercedes parts- which are still from their old parts bin!

I love Mercedes, but how cool is it to feel like James Bond driving a V12 Aston Martin? You have to admit it's cool. Yes center infotainment is Mercedes but that's where it ends on this car unfortunately maybe a few other components. The engine also hand built by Aston in house not the same v12 Mercedes unlike the v8tt counterpart is Mercedes amg engine.

I get your OCD but a good independent will use the same exact fluids and supplies as the dealer. Worth having a look around to see if you have one around you. My oil changes and yearly service were $500 vs $1500 at dealer

Yes I'm going to do alot of research to find a good euro shop that will do oem fluids components for next round of maintenance thanks I know big difference what a insane total. I didn't even want to add it up.

These prices are atrocious. I've always heard AM maintenance was worse than Ferrari and this proves it.
@eliteautomotiveexperience2 ай бұрын
Agreed it is astronomical in comparison to Ferrari maintenance prices. I was expecting expensive maintenance owning this car but this is trying to bankrupt me level expensive my god! Everything on them is imported from England and just outrageously priced but what a dream to drive!

The dealer premium at aston is absolutely ridiculous. you can buy g40 for 30 bucks a gallon at nissan that coolant flush is overpriced, and the other stuff done also doesnt add up. Of course with a car like this you only want OEM parts and fluids. And if you cant pay dealer maintenance costs one shouldnt be buying a car like this in the first place. Still, Money can be saved by bringing it to another shop, not just any shop. Reputable Specialists, they often even have more knowledge, especially when it comes to troubleshooting, more passion, use only oem parts, Again this shouldnt be done out of necessity, but yes It borderlines a scam. so looking for an alternative shop is a valid option even if you can easily pay the dealer.

Yea I do feel ripped off I need to find a independent shop that will do oem parts fluids and processes for next round of exotic maintenance. My father years ago used to be a independent dealer and is considering opening a euro shop for ferrari lambo and Aston in Florida. If he does it would be great I'll work on my own cars like I used to! Until then I'll have to find a independent I can trust.

Do you have carbon ceramic brakes?
@eliteautomotiveexperienceАй бұрын
Great question! They aren't carbon ceramic however the are considered high performance brakes using special material ect
@jonathanwatson9662 ай бұрын
how many miles on the car?
@eliteautomotiveexperience2 ай бұрын
Near 13k miles very low only used on weekends or occasions but I was also taking the age into consideration coolant for example has a life span of 5 years of anticorrosion protection before loses its properties.
@jonathanwatson9662 ай бұрын
@@eliteautomotiveexperience so why did you need a brake job miles are way to low for that
@jonathanwatson9662 ай бұрын
Find a different dealer my costs are much lower at my dealer approx 40% less than you pay
@eliteautomotiveexperience2 ай бұрын
Yes I will be looking for a specialized euro shop that can do oem spec fluids and work soon
