The Lagonda has always been one of my favorite automobiles, and the Series 4 Lagonda is my favorite. Love the lean look of the front with the 6 headlights. Beautiful design!

Beautiful car . Loved your presentation! Fist saw one dart along the lane opposite as I peered down from the upper deck of a bus , I was about 14 /16 years old - 1980/ 82 and was immediately struck by its sleek appearance. The series 4 was definitely the best version , one could fantasise of course what a series 5 or 6 would have offered had Aston Martin Lagonda continued with this amazing car.

I remember seeing one of these as a kid outside of a department store in Al Khobar Saudi Arabia. I was already aware of the Lagonda but had no idea how rare they were. I’ve never seen one again

IF I ever get my hands on one of these you people will hate me, it will get a dirty ol turbo diesel and roll coal and go off roading, any posh car I get, I'm gonna have to make it roll coal and sling mud, the Lagonda would just give me so many more comical things to say about it. But don't worry I prob never will come across one I live out in the white hood in the hollars of appalachia, you don't see stuff like this where I live and I couldn;'t afford it unless it was totaled or someone just basically handed it over lol, so in debt from buying a home any car payment right now would be a be no lol. I'm so curious what these feel like to ride in. Only posh rides I've ever had were 80s Porsches' 928 and 944 but respectable in their own right.

Recall seeing one of the first ones on the road, beautiful in red - it belonged to the mother of a boy at school. She was something of a society name and had “advised” on the interior. A splendid futuristic anomaly at the time of dismal mediocrity Allegros, Princesses etc.

I think the Series 2-4 is a design classic even more. The Series 1 was just an Aston Martin V8 with four doors. The Series 2 was an amazing step from the past to the future in design and technology!

They currently don't all have the same engines and there is no plan for that to be the case as it stands.

@@DarthWaffle. Yes, it is a great engine but not the only engine - there is the 5.2 V12 Twin-Turbo Aston engine and the 6.5 V12 N/A too. All still in production.

For such a large car they are staggeringly small, tight and cramped in the rear. You kept saying how much room there was in the rear…. I was thinking you must be kidding…. Then you got in and you frankly don’t look comfortable at all, your head was in the roof and your legs in the seat back…. Still a very unique car but by this series they had unfortunately become a pastiche caricature of themselves…. All the sharp elegant lines that made them bonkers and unique were smoothed away….

Interesting comments. The interior space is all relative. Compared to our sports/gt car range, the interior space was a revelation. It is not the most practical but the compromise made for the dramatic shape was absolutely worth it. It remains a remarkably usable car that allows you to bring your friends or family along for the adventure. As for the shape, it did change over time but if you see a Lagonda like this driving with everyday traffic, it still looks remarkable in comparison to anything else. We have no skin in the game with the model years (this car is long gone) but we actually prefer the later updates so it is really a question of personal preference.
