Honestly, they probably saved Jaguar too. Short version, Ford kept these brands on life support long enough to get them out of the coma. Bitching about Ford yanking a grille shape from the deal is absurd.

Ford helped Aston Martin, and Jaguar, and Land Rover, Mazda, and Volvo, when they would have been finished. and many of these car companies still have some involvement with Ford. (example) Land Rover Range Rover are still built on the Ford Explorer platform, that use a Land Rover running gear. Jaguar still uses the V8 engine supplied by Ford. and still has part ownership in Cosworth. in fact Ford still supplies components to many of these companies. and Ford is still on good terms with many of these companies. Ford had to sell these companies as part of their restructuring, after the economic recession. it's one of the reasons why Ford didn't have to accept a bail out from the Government. you might want to do more serious research before you post inaccuracies on the internet in the future.

@AmvC Жыл бұрын
Why are you glad? Their cars are stupid and unimaginative. Owning makes no sense, and looking at one should only provoke "what an idiot" as a thought of a clear mind. They were just about the last company that kept yelling "never will electric cars work!!!". If anything, they would have deserved to have died somewhere about 2005-2007. Btw. they also played the "range anxiety" card. Of course, not mentioning that a vanquish - or whatever - only had a range of 60 Miles from 900 kWh of energy when pushed. A Tesla model X at moderate speed would have won a cross country race easily, negating the "but it's faster" factor to something very, very ridiculous. But even then - no, even TODAY - they convince the sheep that "just put another 900 kWhs in the tank" is the right solution and a good, "efficient" thing. That's why they don't want you to think in kW and kWh but in horsepower 🐴 and gallons/litres 📊makes it so much easier to hide the fact and blend the madness that cars are inefficient af and anything but "sporty" or "cool". Just think of horses and a barrel and smile. Don't think of energy and return!!! No wait: don't think at all! Btw. Aston Martin will be bought by a Chinese Make in 4-5 years - 7 years max. and then they might have a chance of building really good cars.
@AmvC Жыл бұрын
ps. go check your yearly energy bill and see how much energy your houshold needed over the course of one year. Single user should need around 2200 kWh, couples around 3000 kWh. So it's a year of energy for your home or 200 miles in a vanquish when used accordingly i.e. why buy a 720 "horsepower" (that's 530 kW) car and then not use it?

Dude, need to give you tips about eyeglasses. I've been wearing glasses for decades and learned quite a bit. The reason your glasses fall down a lot is because they don't fit right. Let me give you some tips. 1) Titanium. Get titanium frames with spring hinges. Lighter. 2) Get high-index lenses. Lighter. At least get polycarbonate lenses. Nikon or Zeiss are the best. 3) Fitting. Make sure frames are wide enough so that they don't bow out at the sides. Make sure the optometrist marks the correct optical center (i.e. eyeballs) on the new lenses. 4) Eye Pads. Your current glasses don't like they have eye pads. Frames with adjustable eye pads may sit better on the bridge of your nose. 5) Coatings. Get anti-reflective, anti-scratch, and blue-blocking lens coatings. 6) Less glass. Choosing a style with less glass area will be lighter. Conclusion) By optimizing your new glasses for lightweight and comfort, your glasses won't fall down all the time and be much more comfortable to use during the day. Glasses that fall down aren't just an irritation -- they affect your vision magnification and can cause headaches. Croakies (eyeglass straps) do help as a band-aid, but their constant pressure on your head is annoying. Keep up the good work!

I am on my third Ford Fusion now. I have been pretty happy with the car's looks, features, and usefulness overall although my latest fusion has been giving me lots of problems. My father got me a new 2015 ford Fusion but then I totaled it by hitting a fire hydrant and some mailboxes at around the 2500-mile mark on the odometer. (I was 16 and did not know how to drive well 😆) Just glad I did not hurt anyone from my incompetence. Afterwards, my father got me a pretty much identical 2015 Ford Fusion. Later, I upgraded by buying a lightly used 2019 Ford Fusion and almost immediately crashed by backing up into a tree, just three days after purchase. Yes, the car had a backup camera and sensors. Clearly still not a great driver 😆. However, I have been having a lot of problems with my Ford Fusion lately. A wheel bearing broke, my engine blew up, a tire popped on the freeway and my brakes had problems and caused my wheels to keep locking up in reverse until repaired. The car only has around 50,000 miles on it now, so the car is still under factory warranty but having this many problems so soon in its life does not boat well to the longevity of the vehicle. Definitely going to pick a different brand for my next vehicle because of all the problems I am having.

Unlike GM, Ford knew treating their brands somehow good. Because brands which belonged to Ford are now refined and still exist - except Merkur and Mercury Under GM, many brands died: Asüna (1993), Geo (1998), Holden (2020), Hummer (brand) (2010), Oldsmobile (2004), Passport (1992), Pontiac (2009), SAAB (2012), and Saturn (2009)

I remember that commercial you speak of, but remember that before it was 'European sports car', it was that the valet had mentioned that it looked like an Aston Martin. Ford wasn't even trying to hide it.

The cheapest one is the Aston Martin Ka. Sadly, my Fiesta does not earn that title. :(

@@matire26 So does the 2015, which I own. I was saying that the Ka was the cheapest Ford model to have the Aston Martin grille on it.
