To be fair: The 95 Aston Martin was clear in front but lost much time due to a tyre failure. It was an awesome battle in the end and I think Aston Martin deserves this win! Next year will be interesting with Aston AND Chevrolet racing with new cars.

A mid-engine Corvette in GTE Pro class will be quite interesting. Although the pushrod small block V-8 (which was developed in the 1950s by Ed Cole at Chevrolet) still delivers the goods after 60 years...incredible.

Everybody loves le man's but you do realize its only 1 race out of 9, its the most prestigious for sure, but to win FIA world endurance championships you need to do well in all 9 races. Since 1923 to 1952 Le mans was the only track they used for the international world endurance racing, but in 1953 they introduced the world sports car championship, which featured 16 tracks Le mans being one of them, this lasted up until 1992, they then went back to racing at le mans only, up until 2011, in 2012 the FIA introduced, the world endurance championships with 9 track Le mans being one of them, and winning at le mans only tells a small part of the story its just one race I have left a couple of links, you can actually see who was the overall champions, and if you click on the years on the left hand side it will tell you the winner of each race, the class wins etc etc of all the manufacturers en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Sportscar_Championship en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_FIA_World_Endurance_champions

Well, but to be fair, the Ford GT doesn´t really belong into that class. It´s more like a prototype, not a "daily-orientated" sports car like the 911 or Corvette. Still great to have them and see the GT class flourish.

hope LMP1 is not dead. Ive been a huge F1 fan since back in the 80s,... and a good manufacturer LMP1 battle is as good as an old school heavyweight boxing title match. I've definetly looked toward to LMP1 battles more than f1 for a very long time now. But they are hurting for more manufacturers. Please come back Peugeot, BMW, Mercedes, Ford, Nissan......

It not like those Team will never come back but like most team in LMP1 often pull back for a while after losing for 2-3 years and developing new LMP1 Car to race like Porsche did after Audi win streak with their new car their able to dominant the Race . Audi are likely to pull back or their just keep racing untill their new Car ready. don't know if Nissan will come back soon despite their GT-R LM.

Not keen on the extremely biased commentary. Taylor himself has said the Corvettes' brakes were going, due to the rapid pace that car had been going. The Astons were helped by the Dunlop tyres coping better in the heat.

Strange they titled this video "Aston Martin vs Corvette Final Le Mans 2017 but they didn't show the final results, which were: ...Aston-Martin 1st, Ford GT 2nd and Corvette 3d ...after the bad luck to the Magnussen/Garcia/Taylor Corvette. All that aside, I still believe it was pressure from European car manufactures that forced the FIA to penalize the Ford GT by limiting Ford HP in their Eco-Boost V6 ...after the Ford GT's took 1st, 3rd and 4th place finish in the 2016 race.
