In support of an upcoming project, ASTON Microphones have sent over some of their microphones! Here I try out some original songs with the Aston Origin, Aston Spirit, Aston Stealth (vocals only).

I’ll be honest, after having watched as many “microphone test” videos on KZbin as I have the past few days I was not expecting much. The second you started singing I stopped dead in my tracks and sat down to just listen. Awesome voice and thanks for the video.

Katie... which did you like the best? I have a analog studio reel to reel Tascam 8 track studio and Tascam analog mixing board. My daughter and I have a band called The Pink Violin Band... have a zillion videos on KZbin. Spent 5 years playing music on the street in Loja, Ecuador where we lived in Vilcabamba nearby. I've been a songwriter all my life. 71 years old with a 5 kids though I look and feel 45....been eating tofu and brown rice since I was 30! Hahahaha..... Anyway, if you get a chance listen to our music and tell me which mic would sound best for us. I already bought one Origin and love it but need a second mic. My pic of the 3 mics on your voice..... definitely was the Origin. To my engineering ear it brought out the detail of your voice whereas even though the Spirit had better low range.... it sounded muffled to me and lost that beautiful detail and clarity. So before I buy a second Origin or a Spirit as my second mic.... I would like your direct opinion.... as an artist. I am so lucky to have a brilliant musician, violinist, vocalist as a 16 year old daughter. We've been playing music together since she was 6 years old. Its like I'm living in Music heaven all the time being her father. My other daughter is now playing cello and my 3rd 8 year old daughter is learning piano. I should have a rocking band by the time I'm 80. LOL!!!! All of them still studying with their brilliant teachers in Ecuador via ZOOM! Thanks! Daniel :)

Bruh, cause u can heare deference only if u use professional audio devices, or half professional. In ordinary users devices nothing changed 😁. And on KRK Rokit monitors (same at the video) spirit got a little warmer sound than stealth. So heare nothing to learn

I own the Aston spirit. It is my go-to microphone when it comes to acoustic guitar, vocals and lead guitar solos. It has such a crystal clear flat response with clarity in highs. Absolutely love it. My next Aston I want is the stealth.

@@YellowTunez I have never tried the Lewitt, the spirit on the other hand I’ve owned for years. It has so much clarity, flat response, it sounds great on everything. I also own the Aston stealth, which is another good microphone. I love how Aston microphones come with different mic settings and different polar patterns.

i wouldnt recoment the 4k Button that is pressed on the SSL sound card with this Bright mic ...making sibiliances dominant. I would keep that button for darker mics like Ribbons dynamics or vintages

Awesome vid. I bought the Spirit and it performs best on my voice in comparison to Origin which I felt was a bit of flat at all. But for your voice Origin sounds great. And Spirit on your voice offers something magical like in a fairy tale I think the song fits very well to Spirit. But I like the stealth too :)
