Wolves were gifted a goal. Villa hardly put a challenge in and gave wolves players so much space in the first half worst half siince Emery has been in charge . Second half different story. villa definitely deserved the win!

I'm sorry but this is the third or fourth season in a row where our starting fixtures have been brutal. While you have to play every team twice, this start is one of the most vicious. We were optimistic before a ball was kicked but in all honesty the only game of the first 5 we were looking at getting much from was Forest. So 4 points at this stage would have been good. I think we need to judge at the end of November unfortunately, but we need confidence from somewhere

It's a results business. Wolves need to be picking up wins. They are not fundamentally hard to beat and the goals being conceded are extremely poor and offensively inefficient. A relegation combination

I’ve backed him all the way but this season it’s tactical ineptitude by O’Neil. Again dominated the first 45, and capitulated the second 45 by switching to a low block…..Why??? It’s tactical nothing to do with the players.!!! The biggest issue is still goals when we are on top .. we get one but other teams get two or three when they are on top!!! We are not killing games off. The board are culpable for not bringing in players required!

Good teams have off games or off parts of games - just a lot less often than poor teams. Thus- far Wolves have met four arguably better teams in Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle and Villa and have duly lost each time. In each of those games though there were periods of good play even domination from Wolves. Confidence maybe plays a part but also better teams do tend to have that “extra gear” to shift into when necessary. Totally agree with Matt and Liam that talk of sacking O’Neil at this stage is just plain daft! Does anyone seriously expect any of those four teams weve lost to so far to finish below us in the table ? Likewise with Liverpool and Man City Im afraid !! It is called realism and common sense! At our best ( as we certainly have been at times under O’Neil ) we can give any team a game and even achieve the occasional win against superior opposition with a bit of luck. We were a bit unlucky really at Arsenal and also v Newcastle - fine margins went against us. Realistically he ( GO’N) should be judged by our results against teams of more similar stature ie not the serious top six contenders!

That one dude has no idea what he's talking about. Yes first half wolves was the only team in the game but the goal came from a villa mistake . And to say they was in control till the 70th min is silly. As I said first half no complaints definitely more dominant. But second half motd put a stat on. They had no shots at all second half and 30% possession. If this thing keeps happening you either need to look at the fitness coaches or the manager

At the end of last season I thought Wolves future looked very good, then we sell two massively important players and don't replace either of them with enough quality which is an upper management balls up. Then GON goes to a four at the back and we just don't have enough quality to play a four, we need to go back to a 3/5 and plug the gaps. The last 5 mins of the first half we should have been pressing like mad but just passed the ball around like a training exercise, very poor. The players don't look fit either, they looked knackered at times. Yes too early to be asking the question and I really want Gary to sort it as I really like him but it has to be done fast. Luckily we are not adrift of the pack because other teams are performing at the same low level but this needs sorting, quickly!

One win in 18 premier league games is awful form and GON has no idea how to tactically adapt in game, terrible subs game after game the players look lost come 60th minute or knackered or both . Even if Gary is fired who are Fosun going to attract when it is clear that they have shorted the Manager in replacing experienced players. Without a cast iron commitment to give a new Manager resources in the January transfer window no respectable Manager will touch this project with a barge pole!!! Fosun needs to sell and let someone come in who has a clue how to run a football club. I really don’t see how this situation is going to be turned around - we are stonewall candidates for the drop even at this stage.
