Watching it on the box here in Tassie it seemed like the Villa fans were really quiet but when they did start to sing it wasn't that long after that the players really responded and we saw that remarkable change. The substitutions after the first goal really added to our attack. The first half was so hard to watch thank god we picked up! UTV.

It has always perplexed me, sometimes annoyed me as there is such power in Villa Park when it's in full song. But for as long as I can remember (80's), Villa Park fans' emotions have been tied to the players' emotions and how they are playing. They often mirror each other and sometimes erupt at the same time. For good or bad, they've always been like this. Now, the away fans are a different kettle of fish, wonderfully, loud, and rambunctious lot no matter the score or weather.

Luke i missed this match. Here the match was on 1:15 am on television, so i slept at 11:50pm thinking i would wake up at 1am and watch the match even put up a alarm but missed the alarm. Eventually woke up at 2:15 or 2:20 am something and saw score on Google. We Were 1-0 down at 60 mins, saw some tweets saying we created 0 XG in first half. Then i thought we bottled the match like we did in nov/dec and slept. Then i woke up this morning and saw the score, i was surprised we won 2-1 and we scored 2 goals in 5-6 minutes span brilliant. But sad that i missed our team comeback if i would have woke up 10 mins later around 2:30am,i would have been able to watch our comeback 😢.

I feared that the dreaded new manager bounce, and the 150 year anniversary celebrations, as well as the new kit was going to prove to be a kiss of death. Thankfully, it wasn’t to be. A slice of luck with the corner, although it was probably justified as we were denied a corner from a definite deflection following a shot from Youri Tieleman. 4th round!! God knows how but we go there in the end! Have to say the last two games are the only two this season where our subs & a change of emphasis has swung the momentum back in our favour. Last season it felt like almost every game we adapted on field. Still not great but hopefully with the new signings coming in we can get these wins on the board UTV

First of all I want to give props to OLSEN because for 68 mins we were dreadful but his over the top ball to Cash that created a chance sparked us into life. Also started the play for the second goal I don't care how but Buendia needs to play more, his energy, his runs, gets into good positions and makes things happen. It's criminal he's not used more. West ham played like I imagined, tight defence and try nick a goal. Up until are goal they were playing a 6-2-2 formation but when we finally started moving the ball quick it changed everything Far too slow and predictable that first half

Not a word from any West Ham fan or any pundit about how we should of had a BLATENT corner 5 mins prior from a Tielemans shot which was given as a goal kick. So the fact we were awarded one in ‘error’ afterwards, is JUSTICE! Conditions were hard out there, slipping all over an icy pitch etc. We did enough to win and that is all that matters. Brilliant atmosphere tonight and the badge up on the scoreboard looked mint. The football was terrible and some nervy moments at the end but job done. Subs changed it up and Ramsey looked like his old self.

Rogers yellow came straight after another foul that he should have been booked for. Onana's shot was not a corner. We got a bit lucky and took our chances but for large parts of the game we were shite. Olsen played a really good pass to cash, but some of his passes were dreadful. Bailey mostly cuts back or falls over and rolls around like he's badly injured. Nedeljkovic looks solid, I wish emery trusted him more.

It was woeful against an injury savaged team. Rogers was poor in the first half, mings wouldn't release the ball to matersan who was doing runs, bailey spent more time on the floor than he did with the ball. conceding first again, we were so open. Watkins was getting nothing to work with. At home, yet not one shot at goal in the first half.. second half was better as west ham sat back and offering nothing up front. we cant afford to start so badly and slow a good team would rip us apart. cant wait to see new signings
