Fans love a scapegoat. Olsen came in in Jan 22 I believe. Emery arrived in Oct 22. Clearly he's not the sweeper/keeper type player Emery needs in his set up and it's why Emi is so valuable. Hopefully he's not seriously injured, as he controls the tempo and begins the attack. Olsen can't do that. Simple. We signed the Australian lad, and presumably he'll become number 2 next year and Olsen will move on. Part of the long term progression.

Tough watch. We were definitely lucky with a draw in the end. I wonder if Emrey was trying to manage this one with Olympiacos coming up. Will be interesting to see if we hear anything about Diaby going straight down the tunnel. Disgusting 2nd half performance. One of the worst 45 minutes of the season. I was expecting Chelsea to have a go in the 2nd half and we would try to pick them off on the counter but we had zero control, didn't even attempt to go forward. Poor individual performances from a lot of players which shouldn't be sugarcoated based on how good we've been this season. It's not over yet and we cannot afford to be sloppy now. UTV

Dougie has been off the pace for a while now. Since December he hasn't looked the same player as he did last year. Not blaming him at all, just think he's probably out on his feet. Tim needs to be played more! We're need to rotate our midfield far more next season, including playing McGinn and Telemanns in that double pivot from time to time. UTV! We can still get over the line. Phenomenal season! Still think we have it in us to make the Champions League and to win the Europa Conference! I agree, Spurs won't take 7 plus what we get out of their next 6 games. They are not consistent enough, and Arsenal could spank them tomorrow. UTV.

As emery said first step gained qualifying for europa. next step champions league and we are in prime position. Looking at the bigger picture, a great point. We’ve secured 5th at least with still a chance for 4th. Chelsea were really on it. A very good side who played like they were fighting for the title. With our fixtures and injuries we’re relying on other teams now, starting with Arsenal on Sunday and then Chelsea on Thursday! I’d be happy to see Douglas-Luiz go this summer, for the right price of course.

Man had to watch till 2:30 Am as match started at 12:30 Am here. We didn't impose us in the 2nd half in the match. We didn't gain control. But you know we didn't lost and got a point here on the way of champions league qualification and only 3 games to we need to try to be patient and gain control. That was terrible never thought I would say it was a waste of money going to a Villa game but yea I duno what happen first ten minutes was on fire then with the 1-0 I felt we got bit laid back I got worried when it went 2-0 I thought we was just gonna go and smash them but Chelsea just put it on us sometimes I feel our style can be slow and these fast high pressure teams just hurt us why I’m worried for Liverpool last home game I think they going to smash us tbh but yea I’ll keep saying this diaby role don’t work he needs to be pushed out wide on the left it worked with Ajax with Bailey out wide right and diaby out wide left and out Roger’s in that diaby role but shifted to the left instead of the right just flip the tactics but all said and done top 6 was the target and we have over achieved so I’m happy hopefully finish strong no less then 7points and most cases 71points get u top 4 if not 5th is fine and I’m more then happy with it and so should all of us

Certainly not the best result but not the worst either. Injuries and fixture list are now beginning to take their toll. It seems that we have to expect the odd poor performance with the odd exceptional one. If that gets us over the line I’ll be very happy. Chelsea have turned their season around and apart from the Arsenal result have been one of the form teams so a point isn’t the worst thing in the world. Need to fix the defence in the summer though.

Bringing Dougie straight back in was a mistake after winning the previous 2 games without him. He lacked the energy needed in midfield to compete with Conor Gallagher, he can be too casual in dangerous areas and his passing was sloppy at times. Easy to say in hindsight i know but the balance did not look right yesterday and it ended up costing us.

I'm writing this with Tottenham down 3-1 to Arsenal, so a bit of perspective. We were fortunate to come away with a draw, maybe, although Duran nearly had a header just before the whistle. we're 7 clear of Spurs this morning which they cannot overcome with their two games in hand, as long as we keep pace. Good game for the neutral but my heart rate was through the roof. Couldn't get our passing going at all, credit to them for closing us down quickly and not giving us time. Disappointed with the Gallagher goal, he wasnt closed down by Tim or John and given space thats the outcome I'm afraid. Hopefully the injures aren't significant and Emi especially was subbed as more of a precaution. Definitely 1 point gained not 2 lost. Still extremely optimistic we'll get 4th.
