So the end of season 1, Nick said he’s going to come out and that set up what season 2 will be. End of season 2, Nick and Charlie had a heart to heart discussion of Charlie’s bullying and that set up what season 3 will be. Alice is simply brilliant.

Yes, Hayley Atwell is playing Nick's aunt. That scene is when Nick is on family vacation. Unfortunately Olivia Colman wasn't available this time, she had a scheduling conflict, and originally that scene was supposed to be with her but Alice shifted it to the aunt character. It looks like things are staying fairly close to the comics but also expanding things with the friend group characters. Apparently Alice has said that we will see more surrounding Elle's experience and dysphoria which is great because that's not something that gets represented very much.

I am so excited to see some of the most beloved scenes from the graphic novel. Shower scene and the vacation call, but also the end of the online chapters when Nick and the girls go college checking. I hope there will be a fourth season however, there is still the Nick & Charlie novell and the space between to fill. I just don't want to let go of them.

And the other two leading characters are almost certainly sapphic! It’s being heralded as the MCU’s gayest project to date, which of course means the incels and homophobes have been out in full force attacking it. 🙄 The first two episodes, which came out this week, were quite fun though. It would be great to see Alex and Josh react and share the show with a friendlier audience. ❤ You don’t have to be up to date on everything MCU to enjoy it either. You should probably know what happens in Wandavision, but there are lots of recap videos on here to get you up to speed if you haven’t had a chance to watch that.

As always, season 3 is also heart stealing and heart wrenching. I get sad by both. I can relate to their troubles but not to their joys as I didn't experience any joy as a gay teen living in homophobic India. I feel happy that teenagers now have it so much better. Thanks to Internet, people have enough information now.

I love this show. I'm a 42 year old mom to a 15 year old. I've learnt so much from this show's parents. I've read the books and I hope the series this season also show Nick's insecurities about being apart from Charlie and knowing himself and what he wants to do with his life as an individual. Sad that Olivia Colman won't be guiding and supporting Nick on how to help Charlie.
