Patty, I love the fire stones. They're really cool under the blacklight. As I am an antiques dealer myself, I'm aware of uranium glass. Right now it is super popular and you'll see people carrying the small black light flashlights around with them testing the glass, even at thrift stores. There is a dealer in our mall who does have her shelves lit up to display her uranium glass she has for sale. it's very interesting stuff, for sure! 🩷🩷🩷

Good morning Possum Patty! 🧚♀✨💕 Always love when the Dirt Road Diary comes out to play. 😍What an awesome rock shop - look at all those gorgeous glow in the dark items! I have never heard of uranium glass - “Fascinating Captain!” Your flame rock looks amazing blending in with the fire paper, such a great idea. And someone get Stinky Winky Woo an Earl Grey - hot! 😂 Always love hanging out with you, creating and learning and laughing. So much fun! Sending lots of love and hugs to you and the Soggy Bottom Gang from myself and all the beasties up here in the forest! 🌳❤🦄✨

Wow those rocks are groovy. This was a fun video. I wondered if uranium glass was safe, thanks for answering.

Howdy, Esta! Yeppers... GROOVY rocks, indeed. I don't believe the radiation coming from the glassware is harmful... but others may have a different opinion! Chuckle. Man cannot escape exposure to some radiation. We are surrounded by natural radioactivity in the earth and by cosmic rays from outer space. This is called background radiation and cannot be controlled. We are also exposed to manmade radiation, which can and must be controlled.

oh my goodness! i love glow in the dark stuff but im always freaked out about them being radioactive 😅 because they are! but no idea how much unless you test them with like..a Geiger counter 😂 they say it's usually quite harmless though. green is my favourite colour too, it's hard to resist!! but, what a find!

Howdy, Nads! Chuckle... thank you for sharing about loving glow-in-the-dark items but yet being a tad cautious about them! I believe black light colors are a light radiation and not the harmful kind of radiation. ☢That said... uranium glass does have uranium in it... but for color not for radiation. Anybody out there have a Geiger Counter??? So happy you popped by! _BELIEVE every ROCK has a story to tell._ Bubbles🫧👽🫧⚛

Wowsers uranium glass is like depression glass! I had a green set of depression glass and my cousin had rose. My grandmother who raised us both gave us each a set. My set was stolen. 😢 I adore depression glass. Mamo, my grandmother, used to go to the gas station with a friend, she paid half for the gas in exchange for the free pieces. She never even drove! I loved those pieces so much. The fire stones are awesome. Temu has so many different types of things. It's like Pinterest I get lost looking. TFS, it fun to see the pages and learn a little bit at the same time! 🐞🐞🐞
