Astra FINALLY Gets Gsi Alloys!

So after months of waiting i finnaly got the GSI alloys on the astra! i know alot of you have been waiting for this! Enjoy.

That finish on those wheels is great. Just a heads up. When storing the wheels always put something like blankets or old carpet between them to save the paint job.

Top tip, put some masking tape or electrical tape around the 17" socket, this stops you scratching all the paint! =0)

On the gsi the silver parts of the doors behind the window (between the front and rear windows) is black. Depending on how far you go with it you could gloss black wrap them. I did mine thinking it wouldn't make much difference but it looks so much better. Good job 👍🏼

I was always advised to tighten the connectors on the battery posts cause with them being loose they can fry the posts completely off when starting the car. Just a good useful tip👍 seen it happen before

Nail brush and some normal car soap suds will get the tyre slip off.

Silver centre console.. keep that bit stock. GSi seats a good idea. Wheels look good! Lower profile tyres affect the speedometer? Might read a slightly higher speed than normal but not much.

Hi James,yes they're finally on and what a beaut it looks,the silver paint is nice with these alloys,soap and water should fetch the tyre marks off,the centre console would be nice in silver but that's my choice 😁, great video bud.

The proper torque for the wheels is 110nm,i had a brakes done and the garage tightened my wheel bolts to 150nm and snapped three of the bolts, needless to say a company with a name not so dissimilar to the good tyre shop you used had a large repair bill, I told them I don't trust their monkeys working on my car, spoke to the area manager and got him to agree to the vauxhall dealer doing the work(replace front hub assembly, 4 new bolts and a new set of locking wheel nuts), then the fun started when I went to get my car back they said sorry"it's Been condemned, the garage have put dot 5.1 in it should be dot4+", had all brake lines, master cylinder, 2 callipers, 2 rear wheel cylinders replaced at the garages cost.

That looks great! The best wheels to put on a Astra. An Irmscher grill would finish the car off. Have you thought of An OPC Recaro interior? Looks so good. You could paint the centre console silver just like the car.

Good job on the wheels. They probably got marked easy because the paint would not have been fully cured. It's a shame you fitted ditch finders. If you can't afford new quality tyres look for second hand quality ones. I bought a set of 4 goodyear tyres on ebay 225 40 18 for £200 with half a mm wear on two of them and manufactured in 2018. It saved me £120 in comparison with the cheapest price I could find online. Keep up the great vids. 👍

Dude I am well jealous, I been trying to get my hand on a set of Gsi snow flakes or Sri 5 spokes both in 17s and painted in grafite gray. But nice work they look fantastic on the car. You are on about the trim on the inside why not make the trim match the steering wheel at the bottom or just go piano black trim, both would look sweet as.

I would reccomend using some Poorboys Wheel Sealant, will keep the dirt from bonding to that fresh paintwork! Just apply it like a wax to the whole wheel, they will look new forever!

Just use some hot water and car shampoo with a wheel brush to scrub the tyre soap off. When I had an Astra G estate, I replaced the black dash/console centre panel with a silver one. Gave the whole dash area a lift, as previously it was all black.

Wheels look good, vaux wheel torque is 110Nm only I also wouldnt bother with the spinning locking bolts, they will seize on and you wreck the key trying to remove them
