I struggle to separate the tabletop game from Lore. As we all know , the area the Basilisk fired into. Everything is generally fucked. Even if they were not direct hits. It is a mess. And a single drone being destroyed in one volley. Clearly, some Warp nonsense was going on. Nee technology that the Tau is using, and no one even realized existed. Or said drone was a Shield Drone, and it was destroyed doing its job.

As someone who's first army was Custodes, I look at these lists and think "how can you fit so many units into a 2000 point list?" I know it's because they're not elite like custodes, but it's a knee jerk reaction. Edit: Bricky was that a TTS reference with the "it's really tanky though"

OG IG player here. Ive been playing AM for decades. You need to increase your infantry count. At the very least you need like 120 guardsmen. In 9th edition nearly all infantry seems to be the way to go. Though scions are an excellent addition as suicide killers
