Does the site builder allow to customize the "Search" pages? I'm trying to customize the look of that page when using a Custom Post Type like you did with Books but when I perform a search my Site builder archive layout just shows ALL the results in the loop builder block. I'm not sure how to customize the search pages. Do you?

Great tutorial. Question what was the outputted HTML code like in comparison to a page if it was made with Elementor? I'm looking to remove Elementor from my workflow to remove excess html bloat and this seems a good work around for simpler sites.

Hi David, thank you for the very helpful video. I assume that the Astra Builder is not compatible with the traditional Astra Theme but only with Spectra One theme. Can you confirm?

No, the Astra Site builder is part of the Astra pro theme. In the video I also use the Spectra Pro blocks.

@@DavidMcCan thanks, I assume you are using the Spectra One theme in the video. So your combo is, spectra One theme + Astra Pro plugin + Spectra blocks free + Spectra Pro, both plugins. So in total 1 theme and 3 plugins, did I get it right?

I did not use Spectra One. I used Astra theme, Astra Pro plugin, Spectra Free plugin, and Spectra Pro plugin.

On the contrary, it is not working with Spectra One (or I should say it is not included), as Spectra One is a FSE theme = it works with the new WordPress Site Editor where we can build archives and other templates, so as I see it, this "Site builder" here is a kind of alternative for the Astra "classic theme" (classic themes are the ones that do not use the new WP Site Editor) to bring about the same features as the Site Editor. I use Spectra One and Spectra blocks, I can add Spectra blocks into the WP Site Editor in my headers for example, or other template parts.

Creating the Archive Templates for Books is easy to understand. But how do you setup the Books page to be an archive? Hope this makes sense.

The URL for the archive page is generated automatically from the name of the Custom Post Type. So in a case like this it would be 'example.com/books/" (or perhaps without the "s" at the end depending on the tool.

There is a setting when you create the Custom Post Type for "has archive". Also, you can resave the permalinks after to creating the Custom Post Type.

It was a while ago - 2 years and Bricks has done so much since then: kzbin.info/www/bejne/epe1epV7ntyVgac I think it is clearly the best page builder, if you want a page builder. Gutenberg-based solutions are the other main option.
