Rolled out the yoga mat, set my intention, had a couple tokes off the zoot and hit up a solid slow breathing practice while stretching with this blasting on subs in speaker and boi did i enter one the deepest meditations ive ever had. Binaural means a combination of different frequencies played in the left and right ears, so this is not Pure Theta at 4 Hz in both ears, correct? It seems counter-intuitive that binaural is better than truly pure Theta.

You can’t hear tones whose frequency is the same as pure theta - sounds at those low frequencies are not detectable by human ears. Binaural beats utilizes the brain’s frequency following response. What is that? That’s when each ear hears a different frequency and the brain, in turn, “hears” the difference between the two audio (kinetic wave) frequencies and self-tunes itself (electromagnetic waves) to that frequency difference. So, if your left earphone is playing 100hz and your right earphone is playing 104hz, your brain hears the difference between them and your brain’s electromagnetic waves start to oscillate (vibrate) at 4Hz. There’s no hearing theta, alpha, delta or gamma, because for one thing, those are electromagnetic wave frequencies and secondly, most of those cyclic rates in audio would not be detectable.
