I don't keep an eye out for frame drops, unless it's massively noticeable like Pokemon Scarlet/Violet. But 5-8 frame drops is not even noticeable to me, i'm to into the game to be looking at everything under a magnifying glass.

It was essentially letting out homunculi out into the world, where they would feed on chimera that showed up. But what backfired in the plan was that the homunculi had the tendency of being very very violent if left unattended, and the fact that absorbing chimeras only powered them up.

Apparently the world was slowly being pulled and assimilated into the astral plane, like files being moved into a folder, only the files are being turned into crazy looking otherworldly beings, but she preferred that happen than being fused with another crazy looking otherworldly being.

How is making people become part of the astral plane saving them? That is killing them, and causing their bodies to become absorbed into becoming part of the terrain of the astral plane. Like, their bodies or frames of them would be absorbed into these red crystal structures all throughout the astral plane. How is that saving them? There are also many who became aberrations because of her. I don’t understand what they did with her character.

@@thebosstex1172 The astal plane was invading the normal world. They couldn't figure out how to stop it, so merging with it was the next best option. The problem with science is; if no one figures it out, no one figures it out. You take your next best option. The aberrations were happening before her involvement. Probably from a scientific accident. I... do not remember. I need to play it again. Jena loved, she had sympathy for the world. She was doing the only thing she could that she thought was right. To preserve humanity, not enslave it like Yoseph. She is my favorite character. Why? Because my empathy attached to her.

jena was truly a cool enemy, i just wish we got to know a little more about her and yoseph. but overall i never regretted buying this game, it was kick ass and deserved way more attention then it got. if there's ever a sequel i wonder if it'd go back to what happened with jena and yoseph and when howard got the twins or if it'll just be recovering earth.

The game was never ignored and in fact surpassed Nintendo's expectations, let me tell you Nintendo produced sequels to both Xenoblade Chronicles and Bayonetta 2, games that sold FAR less than Astral Chain did at launch, so yeah it was both a critical and commercial success, we are getting that sequel, its only a matter of time. the reason they been so silent is because they want to push Bayonetta 3 right now 💜 do not worry pal, im not one bit

I really prefered chapter 9 to 11: the climax was structured in a totally different way and the music was even more interesting. Despite the fact that this isn't even the final boss, that there are still several hours of gameplay after this, I would have easily been satisfied if the game concluded here. Like seriously, platinum just made one of the best hack and slash games ever, with a brand new, non established ip, made music that sounds like this, and then dipped without a word of a sequel Absolute Chads (but give us a sequel pls :))

Jenna is an amazing character, but her plan wasn't really explained, and that made me really disappointed, but I do have an idea on what it could have been: In the case file where we fight Jenna, we learn that she was making/hatching different types of Homunculesses (Homunculi?). The Homunculess can absorb the Chimaras, so I think she was trying to make a Homunculess she could control and manipulate. She would allow it to absorb a huge amount of Chimaras before making it self-destruct, and repeat the process until the Chimaras were gone. Please tell me if this theory has any problems with it, but I think it's a solid idea.

file 9 should've been the end of the game imo. this screams final fight too much. if it ended at file 09 i would've been satisfied, however file 10 and 11 kind of... dropped the ball a bit. file 10 was a hard as hell stealth mission, with a neat final fight. File 12 was fun to play, don't get me wrong, but it didn't feel like a culmination of the entire game like file 09 did. i mean there was a lot of problems i had with file 10 and 11 in general lmao. from 9 to 10 and 11 feel like you're playing a seperate game
