⭐ 2002 Honda Accord - 2.3 - No Start - Cranks But Does Not Start

I ran into a similar situation on a 2001 Accord. Crank no start. Good spark, ran on brake cleaner. Power out of the PGM/FI relay and to the fuel pump. Couldn't hear the pump and didn't have a way of testing pressure so I went ahead and changed the fuel pump. Still no start. Then I checked the dash and noticed the green "KEY" light continuously flashed. This is the immobilizer and it will not allow the injectors to spray. I found the chip had fallen out of the key and onto the floor mat. Put it back in the key center, and it fired right up. So make sure the green "KEY" shaped light goes out after a couple seconds after turning the key to the run position.

I think For Zion's first time he did a Good Job On the camera work, now with working on the car, he did give up pretty quick on that distributor, and say Lets try your way. but its his first time and he is on camera. I think he will get better, nothing happens over night. you have to crawl before you can run. working on cars is not just about trying to diagnose whats wrong with the Vehicle, but also Diagnose how and what angle you are going to repair the Vehicle. I think he will Get Better, He has a great Teacher. Good Video.

Very good. Zion did fine and so did you letting him figure out what to do. I do suggest using small T pins to back probe connectors instead of probing the female terminals to prevent damage. Other than great job!

SO I got a 2001 honda accord EX. I can hear the fuel pump turn on for sure, and its flooding out, smell the gas real strong, also I checked every plug its getting a good spark, so the only other issue can be the timing is off?

That's a SnapOn Vantage Pro. That's an old model, I don't even use that anymore...lol. You might be able to find a used one on Ebay.

Mine just started the same thing like last week it used to start but I had to give it gas and then it would run under 1k rpms and act like it would die but it won't and then it jumps up and rmps move around 1500 and then it would run alright but now it's just cranking and every couple tried it will crank over and Catch but won't start and I just replaced the igntions cables and it was doing good

@@OnlineAutoRepairVideos yeah I've tried either tested my spark checked oil went through all the gas stuff checked the wires and I had it scanned and I've always had a problem with the rpm block only going to 4k then if you try to go past it it would jerk and slip a gear and feel like the tranny just dropped out and yanks the car down in the front like I slammed the breaks but that's the vtec I've replaced it and all that and it still dose that but my Main problem now is that the car will not start it just cranks and won't catch nothing but it sparks like a fire idk what it is I got code pcm failure that there is my main computer of the car and it's probable 500 to 1000 bucks and I really don't wanna think that's it

I have a 03’ Honda Accord and it cranks but won’t start, but while it cranks the whole car is jumping. And smoke comes from the right side, but it’s not a lot it’s just a little puff you can only see it when the hood is up.

23:05 camshaft position sensor is no good. Distributor cap needs replacement/repair. I too am having this issue, and replacing the distributor cap was the first thing my mechanic tried to rectify. Didnt work. He also tried everything else mentioned in this video, to no avail. I'm at my wits end, I've been without my car for over a month now.

If they broke out the lock cylinder, you will need to replace that, along with a new key, and then, if then it may need programming.

Hello amigo im going trew a huge stressing problem my 2001 honda accord 4 cil. 2.3 starts up cold but starts really rough and i drive it the engine warms up and the car Struggles to start after like 2-3 tries it starts but i kinda have to step on the gas to start it i know this much on a fuel injected vehícule its not nessesary to do so but my car starts really low like sounds like it has a hard time coming on i live in mexico now and money down here its super hard to come by with that being said i dun spent maybe like 600 american dollars wuich is like 10,000 pesos i dun spent lots of money on it and it still wont start when it warms up many mechanics down here cant understand wth is the problem cause i dun changed spark plugs, wires,rotor cap,rotor,map sensor,tps sensor,gas regulator,injectors,fuel pump,fuel filter,oxygen sensor,air filter,the chatalitic converter was eliminated not nesesary down here but it was taken out cause if that was clogged that was one of the problems that it was running poorly bad gas mileage it didnt make a difference i had the radiator cleaned out the transmission was changed out i took it to get the comoression cheked it was like 35-40 every cilinder they said it was were its supposed to be i even changed a box under the steering wheel that supposedly if thats bad it dont wanna start idk whut to do amigo its so stressfull down here without a car my car has A/C but i dont turn it on cause the car shakes like crazy and it looses power really bad it dont shift gears like its supposed to if theres any thing u can think of that i aint mentioned please help please idk whut else to do i cant even sell it cause no one wants to buy it cause it dont start right and the power it looses idk please help ill check every week to see if u got around to seeing this message god bless take care

Yes sir the timing belt was replaced when they changed like 2 seals and there's no chexk engine light on i resently had it at the mechanics shop they said the computer werent sending signal to the map sensor and the computer was replaced, another thing they eliminated the EGR valve cause it werent working they said it didnt need it to run good or to save gas
