I really like the vanny jumpscare, mostly because of the way it Executed, you hear the human motion detected when you, a human....presumably enters the room, you pay no mind to it. you check the room do stuff and then click off it and read the notes, then see the popup again and you either, like spiff, pay no mind to it and get elbow clapped by ms bunny, or you mightve realised you havent moved while reading that note, and that someone else has entered the room, and THENN get elbow clapped by ms bunny

@@nicolepanacho7128 ... What? At most, a few animatronics behave similarly to their original counterpart, because that is what a reference is. However, it is removed from it's original context, making it pretty different. First/FNAF4 style only has one similar character, namely Nightmare BB, who isn't even similar to his OG counterpart, but rather his _UCN_ counterpart. Second/FNAF2 style completely revamps all characters. The most you get is a music box, kinda like FNAF2's Marionette, but the challenge changes from "How will I maximize music box windups?" to "How can I reach the music box in time without angering any of the animatronics?". Third/FNAF3 style uses Phantom Foxy to prevent the player from going outside. To be fair, Phantom BB is the exact same, although you won't be looking at cameras at all. Fourth/SL style is the most similar in general, and that's not saying much. While Funtime Freddy is similar on a surface level, Ballora and Funtime Foxy are completely changed and at most just have "controlled shock" as a similarity to SL, which is _not_ how the original animatronics were dealt with. Minireenas and Circus Baby just make an appearance, nothing more. Fifth/SL style 2. Good luck finding a reason for how that is similar. Sixth/FNAF6 style/FFPS style's _only_ similarities are that Scraptrap sits like FFPS and that the sound file for the REPEL system is one of the casette recordings. I can't say anything about the minigames beyond, as they seem to be multiple endings, but one thing I can say for certain is: even assuming every other ending besides the one Spiff had here is quite literally just a carbon copy of an FNAF game, _you'd still be wrong._

34:58 Fun Fact, I actually own a flashlight like that! I don't know if it has anything to do with solar panels, but essentially you use the kinetic energy from winding the crank to recharge the flashlight. Fun fact to this fun fact. There does exist one that does come equipped with a solar panel, place to plug it and even a battery inside it to store energy. The goal is to leave it ony your windowsill to collect energy/charge if not in a sunny environment. With it being able to be carried with you in the event of natural disasters (mainly tornados). Gonna be honest, the pixel cutscene of Spingtrap's whole "This is not my body" monologue (22:39 is where it starts) was genuinely so frightening until that red jumpscare. Somehow, pixel/2D imagery is usually much more disturbing of a visual, than 3D... At least for me. That "Let me out" is definitely gonna haunt my nightmares. Editing time; Wanna also point out that if it just stayed pixelated, but did the scary faces anyway, it would be like a neat little knife twist. This whole segment was a small reprieve from the grimy setting and tense plannin, at least visually. The fact that it carried the same kinda wonky but still charming pixel graphics that so many associate with games from their childhood also made that contrast stronger. Had this pixel look been twisted into something disturbing, not only would it stay consistent with the rest of that cutscene visually, while still being freaky, but it would be like a reminder that you are never safe. Like the Freddy's brand itself, something appealing to kids was twisted and morphed into something horrific by the "person" inside Springtrap, nothing is sacred, nothing is safe. And he still wants to get out and _get you._ Hooh. (Thanks to the user JustAverage down in the replies for reminding me of this aspect!) YOU GUYS WROTE MINI-ESSAYS ON VISUAL HORROR BUT DIDN'T EVEN POINT OUT MY SPELLING ERROR BACK THERE HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME :,-(

I think it's likely that when it comes to 3d stylised this way, it's harder to have a suspension of disbelief as the more realistic it tries to be, the more your brain expects it to be realistic. As such it ironically becomes less realistic and your expectations raise. With 2d you can easily have suspension of disbelief as you know it's not real and it's art, its not trying to be realistic and as such it's easier to engage with it.

@@imthecoolestguyalive He meant that it's easier to make something scary in 2D (which is simpler, so expectations are not as high) than something 3D (which is generally more complex, hence you have higher expectations). I don't actually agree that 2D is inherently scarier, but in this particular case it absolutely is. This minigame-styled smile was one of the most unsettling things I've seen in a while and had such a great buildup, which IMO was kinda ruined by this screaming red mess of a jumpscare

@@imthecoolestguyalive To try and simplify it: the 3D model of Springtrap is more realistic, meaning that because we'd expect the jumpscare to be realistic, it doesn't come off as scary because it isn't. However, the pixel art is less realistic and so it comes off as legitimately terrifying.

watched the whole vod in about a week, my guess on the Springtrap head thing, I never pointed it out before, is that when the endos leave their "room" they lose some sort of hallucinatory effect. Much like the Twisted Animatronics in the books, the "look" you see is entirely mental. So because the Springtrap animatronic was a little frisky, the "glitch" in your head was cleared of that room's effects when you left, and Springtrap's head was also out of the room, so you could observe the "glitch" being lifted. The game is called the GLITCHED attraction, after all.

This is actually a really cool reversal of the standard FNaF formula - instead of trying to keep the animatronics out of the room you’re in, you’ve got to try your damndest to get out with the bots in there with you. I feel like this fangame is what Security Breach could have been as far as *limited free roam games are concerned if there was a little more thought put into it. Loved the video as always Spiff 🌸🌸🌸 Edit: holy shit guys, this is the most likes one of my comments have ever got, thank you! 😁 *I’ll correct what I said because comments, but I suppose what I meant by free roam is a space where you’re free to explore and interact with the environment like in both SB and this game. Sorry for the confusion 😅

Yeah, security breach would have had to tweak this concept a little to account for the big sprawling map layout but a lot of the game really does seem to want to play like this. Hoe each mission is cut up into smaller sections and rooms that the animatronics patrol around in, I don't know how you could get around the problem of the same 3 animatronics seemingly being everywhere with the big map layout in security breach though; SB really needed either more aniamtronincs, more animatronics that go around like Moon (who can kind of believably be everywhere with his wires), or some way to make it believable that the aniamtronincs that are actually in the game to always seem to be right where the player is without obviously teleporting (like how in the beginning there's an alarm in the security office which attracts Roxy and Monty to that location without just being like "SECURITY BOTS EVERYWHERE")

9:36 Wow, that edit was impressive. Kept chat _and_ the loading screen despite showing a Minecraft Pizzaplex map clip. Also the electromagnetic doors thing has been a theory since the start. The animatronics would likely try to open the doors (as might actual threats, such as a crowbar-wielding thief, but since 1 was after 2 they did know when making it), and as such the doors would need to be latched into place very firmly. Hence, electromagnets. Foxy's sounds in Help Wanted support that, actually. Still dunno why the place runs on battery at all, when electromagnets are notoriously power-hungry, but whatever. I continue to hate that particular Fredbear model compared to most others, since it's just a Nightmare with a different paint coat slapped on. There's even t e c h n i c a l l y an official one. Sort of. Seemed low effort. Fangames _are_ still the way to go. Hell, if you want to office formula done better, FNaF 2 Open Source (also called 'Another FNaF Fan Game', and that's the actual name) or Fazbear Entertainment: Storage are better than the original series for the most part too. Fangames are just like that. They have passionate developers, whereas the mainline series... hasn't.

I love nothing more than being able to actually SEE the animatronics coming for you, sensing where you are, having to actually keep eyes on them and where they might pop out from and more. Seeing Afton jump down from the ceiling vent right in the player's view was a jumpscare in and of itself, but done brilliantly. Shout out to the stellar sound design and animations too, because it makes everything feel/sound all the more real and terrifying, even Freddy just punching through the music box window to then exit the booth after being wound up. Though ngl, Chica's punching the player got a chuckle out of me.

Ya know, I know it's not a high bar to clear, but this vanny is so much better then the Security breach one, it's insane. Like, not just in the main story, but in the entirety of her characterization between all the secret tapes and whatnot. Even the plan to bring back afton both makes more sense and you can kinda see the logic of here; Vanny needs that mechanical genius that Afton (or glitchtrap) had to make *real* robots, because all she could make was immitations. Puppets. Nothing new. Afton's animatronics could create scenarios to harvest remement. Vanny had to construct scenarios for her's. And her downright scientific approach was WAY more engaging and outright frightening then the "serial killer with a remote controller" sthick.

@@nonsensicalhumanoid I mean, yeah, sure, they are integral part of the FNAF, no doubt. I see nothing wrong in jumpscares themselves actually. I mean that this specific one was, in my opinion, kinda silly and, as original commenter said, very anticlimactic. In this particular case I think sequence would have worked much, much better without last bit at all or with something more in vein of prior pictures (distorted, minimalistic, uncomfortable and in 2D)

I played this, when I got to ennard I was like wasn’t Kyle the person who texted you at the beginning. I am also pretty sure that after the credits you text the next person to come to the attraction so that vanny could extract more remnant to bring William afton back, it says replaced as the achievement for Beating the game because if you look at the beginning the same hand that was visible appears at the end when you see the endos hand. This is pretty much all I know. Vanny made this entire attraction as a project to bring William back to life. I know that you become a robot to send the text to the next person to come here because if you find the purple key and look at the different pictures on the walls you can see one of them is: person sends email/text/letter to their friend, it has to be one of their friends because if it wasn’t they would just be confused wondering why this random person has sent this text to me.

I believe that the reason Afton's head disappeared is that everything you see isn't what is really there, you're imagining the old animatronics, seen the past that terrorizes you, disguising the real escape room, a simple room, with the important items labeled for you. That or I'm just bringing light to a bug and I just think that it's intentional
