This exploding by bullets is why the purples stop firing when pinned. Their code for staying safe from their own mines stops them from firing in the direction of a mine when they are at range of the explosion. I am not certain if they will still fire if not aiming at the mine as the only example of this with purples is during Spiff’s failed double kill on mission 15; but, by that point, the purples were out of range of the mine, so it could just be that they fired because they are out of range of the explosion. However, it seems like they can fire when aiming away from the mine, because, at 30:15, the tank is shaking its turret back and forth when spiff is at the same angle of his mine, with the code for the point at player when at range and the point away from mine conflicting. Then, when spiff goes to the left of the mine, the tank stops shaking its turret and follows spiff, likely on a cooldown to shoot again.

Actually this theoretically could be possible to do even all 100 missions. I’ve played this game a lot and I’ve found that the black tanks (which are impossible to get close to without immediately getting blasted) are actually somewhat blind to to the player’s mines and will sometimes just drive over them, which you might not expect since a lot of the preceding “high difficulty” tanks introduced before the black ones will stay away from all mines at any cost. You’d probably still be trying for eons though lol

Even though it's pretty unreasonable to do all 100 levels without shooting, it would be pretty cool to see you do the non randomized and unique level past 20 so basically most of the every 10 levels. (So 30, 40, 50, and all the unique ones.)
