This is so pretty how Astrid put this together. I didn't know that Ina co-wrote this song. This song is one of my favorites.

I wouldnt say she co-wrote it. I would say she wrote it. Usually when a song has several songwriters its mostly written by one or two and they just add the others to «pretend» they have contributed the same. Often they have only contributed with a few words or similar. Ina has said this: I want the songs I write to sound like a conversation, a conversation set in a system. And I want all my songs to have an element of hope in them. If you have real heartbreak, what do you want to hear? A song that's absolutely horrible that just drags you down even further? When you play something I've written, I want you to think, "This is bloody sad, but damn what an asshole he was". she emphasizes. The somg «Symphony" with Swedish pop artist Zara Larsson and British Clean Bandit is a perfect example of precisely the element of hope, with lyrics like "I just wanna be part of your symphony / Will you hold me tight and not let go?". I had already written most of the song, but when the chorus were to be written I argued for so long with Jack Patterson from Clean Bandit, because he wanted it to be sad, but it's called "Symphony"?! For example, if it's going to be used in a Volvo commercial, then the feeling of getting into that car and driving away should be AMAZING. They wont use a song called "Symphony" which is about someone finally being gone. They’ll instead use a song called "Symphony" because everything is perfect. This story tells how tough it can be for female songwriters, especially young ones: In 2015 Ina collaborated with Calvin Harris and Disciples. She wrote the song «How Deep Is Your Love», and she also had all the vocal on the song, but wasnt credited. From an interview and also from HGVM, Ina said this: « Obviously we asked the team of Calvin Harris, or Adam, if I could be credited, but they said no. And it was like, "Shit ...". Then I thought, now I have two choices: either I can say: then you can just remove my vocals and hope they don't put anyone else on it, but then I knew from experience that then Rihanna or Ellie Goulding or someone else would made it, and then I would have made less money. I was not signed anywhere and had not invested the time I needed, as an artist. I hadn't dared to go for it yet. It had to be a "business decision", says Ina. The song topped the charts worldwide and sold to platinum up to several times across six countries. Still, she was comfortable with the choice she had made about letting the guys use her vocals uncredited until it received a Brit Award nomination for this year's single in 2016. Her husband and manager, Mark Ellwood, told Ina that they had been invited to the awards ceremony. Ina said she couldn't go there. - Mark was wondering why, it was so much fun! Then Ina said, "I can't sit at the Brit Awards if that song wins, and then I know inside that it's my voice, my words and my melody flowing out of the speakers, and then four men will go up and get that award. If that happened I think I would start crying, and that wouldn’t go well, ”she says. - I realized that this is business, and this industry is tough. You have to learn what's best for you, and it's not necessarily what's best for you financially that's best for you personally. At that point I decided I didn't want it like this again.»

@@johnc5646the original or just this version?
@johnc564615 күн бұрын
@Mintaehyung-i6r she wrote the original. Astrid S then translated to Norwegian and made her own version. The concept of the show is that they talk about their careeres and then interpret each other's songs

Astrid S har en så sår fin tone. Men eier ikke Rizz/karisma. Best på radio. Og der er hun sabla god.
