Singing songs in other languages is actually doable without learning the language. Here is what I do: listen through the song and write it out phonetically how you would pronounce it. Then listen through the song and adjust where necessary and make notations where vowels are elongated or there are breaks. Repeat four to five times while reading and after that you should be starting to pick up most of the song.
