Astro A50 wireless headset will not turn on or sync with the base station

Thanks you soooo much man!!!! I had the same trouble as you and after about 5 attempts it worked!!! For anyone else having the same problem do the hard reset and keep the buttons held down for about 10 seconds then let go (make sure before you do the hard reset that when you take the headset off the basestand you turn the headset off and then back on), once you've hard reset it place it on the stand with the header still in the on position and as soon as you see the red light on your headset take it off the stand and it will work, worked for me Good luck fellas

I had the exact same problem. So what u have to do is hard reset it then place it back on and then remove it and repeat the process until it syncs. Took me 7 times until it finally synced

Holding sync and game eventually worked for me. My light was off and couldn’t get it back on. I had it sitting on the base while I completed the steps. Thank you, this headset is awesome.

I have the exact same headset. I have recently got this from Christmas. Was purchased from the Best Buy store so I was able to return for another very easily. My first headset was doing this exact same thing so I took it back in it and exchanged it for a new one. My second one I've had for a day everything was fine it was fully charged I played about five hours of game time on it I placed it on the base station and it lit up free bar solid wood not flash and the red charge symbol was lit up solid. I then tried to flip my power switch on and off and it would not do anything. I will post a similar video of what mine is doing I am on the second set. I love Astro to death this is my new Astro a50 generation 3 wireless PS4 model.

Had the same issue where powerbar wasn't showing, that's how I fixed it: 1- turn off the headset 2- while the headset is off put it on the receiver and keeping moving it till the powerbar is back (keep in mind the headset is still off) 3- after you get the powerbar back on while the headset is off, try to turn on the headset in that position and do a reset while it's still on the receiver. 4- you'll see the mixamp now finally resets. then test if it synced properly (try checking on the sound by playing something, you can also try to turn off and on the headset to see if the mixamp register with it etc) Hope it helps! pin this comment if it works to help others

Hey man, I know you already sent it in but I had the same issue just now. I noticed that if I plugged the headset in with the USB it would turn on an work normally. I just did a reset while it was plugged in with the USB chord. I am going to guess that because the headset wasn't 'on' it was not resetting the headset itself. but once it was plug in and was on it was able to hard reset fully.

Hey guys. I’m sure ur like me, getting upset and stressed that the hard reset won’t work after countless attempts and trying to unplug and reconnect cords with nothing working. Well I was digging on Google and saw on reddit that it helps to hard reset for 30 seconds or so and it should sync with your base and you will be ready to go again!

Hello all, unfortunately I just came across this and for those having this issue with pc/xbox(green) version! I simply attached it to the base as so many have described, i did not do a hard reset. But what i did was went into the astro command center, I updated firmware on headset! Fixed issues power on/ and charge light indicators were not coming on, they are now! good luck!

had same issue, did the reset like this - headset turned on and stand turned on while taking off the stand hold the game and dolby button for 10 seconds the power light on headset went off then on no flashing and no reaction from base unplugged base/stand from power (headset still in on position) then when i replugged back in the base it resyncd couldnt get the normal "hard reset" to work but this did it for me

I have a problem that the red lightning bolt is flashing on the base station. And the charging bar is showing, same with the double hearing thing. Then when I take my headphones off the base station they all disappear and the red lightning bolt continues to flash.
