A feature that needs to be added is changing the frequency channel. Some Wifi routers cannot change their wifi channels and thus interfere with the Astro headset and visa versa. My Astro flat out stops my wifi from reaching my basement. When I unplug it the wifi is fine.

what worked for me as silly as it sounds is shutting down the program then restarting it. after that take the head set off the base then put it back and try the update

Alex Bounmiswang if you have an aux cord just plug it in to the base station and then plug the aux cord into your phone and it works

Can anyone help me? I have the Astro a50 base station headset and they work fine on the PS4 but not on my Macbook. I downloaded the latest updates and I'm also using the headset to capture and record retro consoles on a elgato game capture hd 60. The game audio and game capture is coming through but the live commentary option for the Astro voice input is not working. Basically the mic doesn't record even when the elgato picks up the mic through its software. I tested the. I'd through audacity and it works fine elsewhere. Is it the elgato game capture software?

you can't connect them wirelessly but you can connect your phone wired with an aux cable. You will connect it thru the base station on the back of it.

On the ps4 you will connect it via optical cable. And on the pc you will connect it with just the usb cable. You will then have to switch back and forth when using your ps4 or pc. You cant connect them at the same time.

Why cant astro get with the times and make an app that can do this. I don't have a pc. My smart phone does everything i need so no need for pc. I can tune my fucking car from an app with my module yet can't tune a headset for gaming from phone.

The wireless a50's are complete garbage. Sound randomly cuts out for no reason. And trying to get them to actually charge in the base sometimes requires me sitting there for 10 mins moving them around before it makes a good contact. Worst design every. When they work they sound great. Too bad they are junk though and have so many issues. I have to do a reset on the headset daily.
