Astro's Playroom introduced me to old PlayStation games like Ape Escape, Patapon, and LocoRoco Too bad the Astro Bot OST doesn't include this remix. I hope it gets included in a future release of the Astro Bot OST on Amazon, itunes, Spotify, etc The Astro Bot OST in the Digital Deluxe Upgrade from the PS Store doesn't include this theme

"Going Loco" is a really weird level for me until I realised that it's based on a game called LocoRoco, which I never even heard of. It's really good for Team Asobi to reference a niche game like this one. The theme song itself has a made up language. No wonder I felt the lyrics sound Japanese yet not Japanese lol.

The team Team Asobi is spun off from (which Sony subsequently killed off, the jerks) made the original game. I had personally heard of it but never played it (now I've decided to give it a try because of Astro Bot). The gameplay in this makes me think it's worth revisiting in the here and now. Especially since the PSP game relied on using the shoulder buttons to manipulate the world tilt but nowadays you could do it using motion controls, which is more natural (even the Vita could do this, which makes not releasing a LocoRoco game on it a missed opportunity).
