Astro Boy Folge 2 - Astro gegen Atlas (Deutsch)

Schade, dass Astro Boy in Deutschland nicht populärer ist. Nur 6 Folgen vom 1980 Anime und überhaupt kein deutscher Release für den aus 2003. Dabei gehört er zu den besten. Echt traurig. Wenigstens haben wir jetzt Pluto.

Irgendwie wünschte ich mir, wir hätten die Serie wirklich in den 80ern gedubbt. Die 2000er hört man irgendwie direkt raus

Trotzdem schade das der Sender der die Folgen damals ausgestrahlt hatte kein Interesse daran hatte die restlich 46 Folgen zu synchronisieren ..Aber auch die Serie von 2003 und die von 1963 sind ja nie auf deutsch synchronisiert worden..Lediglich der Film von 2009 ist auf deutsch erschienen allerdings weicht der in der Handlung stark von den Comics und den Serien ab ..

The Canadian version was screwed up as the first episode didn't show a battle between Astro and Atlas, nor the origin of Selina/Livian.

The US AND French dub eddited that episode out, took out parts of the following episodes and both made them as one; the US edit took parts of episodes 1, 2 and three (I guess) and stichted them as one, but the US took episodes 1 and 2 as one and says that episode 3 is episode 2 and called it a day... in both cases, they have something similar: they take out Astro's first fight with Atlas, leaving us with Astro just saving people from icebergs (Astro is sent alone in the French edit while the dad tags along in the US version).... and this SOMEHOW drains his energy away. How long do these things last, 20 minutes?

That's the original version of Atlas. In this anime, Atlas has a prior form where he was originally built as a little boy. His grown up form which we see in episode 4 is the form he gave himself as a complete remodel.
