All tutorials on all subjects all over the world should be done by Germans like you. I am new to Astro photography I never understood telescopes and all the different numbers. Thanks to your tutorials this has changed.

Hey Chris :) Thank you so much for this series, i'm learning a ton as an astronomy/astrophotography noob! I spotted a small mistake in this Video though: Canon crop factor is 1.6x not 1.4x like Nikon. Cheers

I tried doing star trails. But even a 30min exposure (with the camera stopped down to f/16 and the lowest ISO) made a way overexposed image. What's the secret?

Hey Stuart! The trick is to use shorter exposures and stack them afterwards. Some use "StarstaX" - I don't to those things often. So you exposes as long as you want given the ISO and stuff - and than stack them together. Clear skies!!

@@catchingphotons Thanks. But surely doing star trails is an 'entry level' thing to do (rather than needing advanced astrophotography techniques like stacking). I can't really believe that most people who take startrails photos are doing that, surely?

Stacking those images is quite easy as it only means loading them into the program - rest is done for you. As yourself commented: exposing the entire night is not possible
