Astro Van Engine Cover Removal & Reinstall In Real Time, No Editing

Had to check my wires for fit so I figured I'd do a video of removal and reinstall in real time just to show how quickly it can be done...

Had one time plug wire was touching dog house cover and shorting out to foil cover on the back side. Look on backside of cover for evidence of arcing.

liked video but was blocked by your back to camera of seeing the heat duck re in stalled but keep up great work vids on astro and safari i have two vans both 2003 one a two wheel drive astro and a gmc safari Awd model loving the vans i used to have vw camper vans 3 all campers did not know about these astros and safaris back in the day early 90 s thanks clay

Just liked your Astro Van page on FB. Years ago I wanted to get an Astro Van to tinker around with, but then got into wanting a VW Bus. Those things are real expensive. So I am back to thinking of and saving for an Astro Van. I enjoy your videos.

Michael, I am 6'2" and I know the Astro Van will be tight for me. However, I only looked at a 1995 years ago and was basing everything on that. With the later Astros I just might have a little more room to work with. I'm stoked on this.

I came up to your video as I am looking for misfire on cylinder 4. Swaped spark plugs fron 2 to 4 but no change. Still missfire on 4. Going to swap wires next . Thank you for the video, it will be very helpful. Hoping its something simple, was also told it may be the intake manifold gasket..hope not.

Could have something to do with the spider injection system - Intake manifold gasket will be something you can't miss, look for the fouled plug and coolant in the oil as well as oil leaking on the engine. Plenty of videos out there on diagnosing specific misfires

hey thanks for doing this... the doghouse is the one thing people fear more than opening the hood !!! hahahahaha.. doing in real time was great.... even popping that glove box was cool it is going to help me with running wires for stereo and back up cam.....do you ever have meet ups with astro people? camp , hangouts, beach or mountain days? i think you are in so cal area right?
