In this video I attempt to see another solar system (aka an exo-system) more than 1000 light years away in the Great Nebula of Orion with a giant Celestron 14” HD Edge Telescope.

Hello! I’m a 14 year old Amateur Astronomer, been photographing for just over 2 years now with my 9” Dob in dark New Zealand Skies. I’d just like to make a recommendation for a future video where if possible, you could go out to one of our many dark skies reserves and shoot a video. It feels like another world at night time down there and I think everyone should see it once in their lives.

@@davidtotten3042 I really need to get a telescope then. I've always wanted to and never did. My only dislike is that it seems one has to set up a camera to get enough light to capture these images. Would that I could look through the aperture and see such things in real time...

@@vgamedude12. You can try live stacking images (Using software like SharpCap) and see nebulae and galaxies build up on a computer screen. That will give you a lot more than just looking through an eyepiece. It’s the closest to real-time astronomy and fairly easy to do. It’s called EAA (Electronically Assisted Astronomy). The Cloudy Nights forum will be a lot of help setting this up.

This was absolutely incredible. You are such an inspiration, not just in your findings but in the way you dedicate yourself for dealing with all the difficulties of this vocation with such high spirits and endless devotion. These images blew my mind into pieces. The live feed of the star nursery with all the bubbles - a celestial object of such vast proportions laid out in front of us like sprinkles on frosting - within our live point of view, from here on earth!! I couldn't believe what I was seeing. And after that, seeing the protoplanetary disc and the young solar system was just beyond comprehension.
