So i had an idea: after all star types have been covered maybe there should be a popup like "new types unlocked". Those would be L and T brown dwarves or you could throw on a hypothetical Ω type star wich isn't technically a star since instead of fusing hydrogen it feeds a black hole in the center wich spews out enough energy to keep the star from collapsing. It's difrent forces but with the same effect as regular fusion in the core of a star.

I think part of the reason Gas Giants tend to form has to do with the whole binary+ pairs things being fairly common in the universe. They probably wind up not having enough material to become the binary partner star or even a brown dwarf in most cases. Well, it's either that or objects simply obtain as much mass as they can.

Stats for today’s star Star Type: M (red dwarf) Mass: 0.096 solar mass Lifespan: 1 trillion years or more Benefits and downsides of living in a red dwarf star system: Benefits: 1. The star has a very long lifespan, giving intelligent civilization enough time to evolve into an interstellar species 2. Very common in the universe Downsides: 1. Planets are prone to solar storms 2. Planets may be tidally locked, with one side facing the star, while the other face away from the sun. Habitability is unlikely depending on the planet’s atmosphere
