For the price these should either have some sort of case or have the Mod Kit quality materials already included. $300 when you have to pay another $50 to make it comfortable is almost insulting. Add that to the fact you refuse to create a universal basestation for multi console owners so that you may squeeze another $100 out of your customers makes me less likely to purchase your products.

It'll be nice to have bluetooth implemented in some way, I use to have it on Turtle Beach Elite 800 but the negative was low audio with the phone call. Making it pointless to even use as hard to hear. Perfect that part and it'll be a gamer dream as losing essential audio when playing but having the choice to tune in without losing the ability to talk. I'll be getting a pair and see how it goes with the Dolby Atmos on but hopefully one technology will be smoother and gaming much more unified.

Anybody else have issues with the presets not working on the headset on console? I'm now on my 2nd one and the presets are no different, I've checked for updates, nothing and even changed it on pc to where I guarantee there's a difference but when I switch to ps4 the presets sound no different than each other.

To be fair, USB C isn't really considered industry standard, yet. Even a majority of phones still use Micro USB. USB C is, without question, superior in every way. I won't dispute that. But, I suspect that we won't start seeing aftermarket peripherals using USB C until consoles start using it for their own devices.

So I have the old ones and you know the old one had some issues with the pin alignment and never made contact so the next day they were dead when I came back it would have been more convenient if u could include the headphone Jack as well in next generation ik that I can use the micro USB to charge and play but a 3.5mm jack is was thinner and convenient to play with while it's dangling on your shoulder And why are we still using micro USB to power the base station? It's 2019 already USB - C is a stronger connector overall and less prone to breaking imo

@@mitchlabree2211 I trust you know by now, but just in case, I'll fill you in. Pretty much everything you mentioned are exactly what these offer. Certainly not a reskin. If you compare them side by side to Gen 2 or Gen 3, you'll see that the Gen 4's are slightly more streamlined and a little less bulky looking. It does have a new mic, and it sits and charges on the base station a LOT better than Gen 3.

@@hailhydra5061 I head somewhat the same problem. After contacting the and 5 emails later they gave me a 15 step instruction to uninstall their software to reinstall. One of the steps was to install Ccleaner... Really? When your own uninstall program doesn't work that's a huge issue. And Ccleaner is known for having malware issues. No way! I'm so happy with my A50's and they sound amazing.

Chris_ Eins Sony haven’t implemented atmos on PS4 that’s why. Microsoft gave it on Xbox but you have to pay extra for it, but this headset comes with a 2 year free trial (it’s a long trial)

I would rather wonder if they are pushing to release a non-fully-baked product. Pushing the release date means they are not ready for the release, means they might be cutting corners on this product. I have the A50s and I (rarely) have any issues with them as far as the snap sounds whenever I turn on my PS4 while the Astros are on. I may just stick with the old Astros 50s instead 🤷‍♂️

Can someone please help me understand WHY you need an Xbox/PC switch? Is it simply for turning ON the Xbox headset functionality? I'm looking to get one of these, but my main setup would be something like USB>PC, OPTICAL>XB1, So I can game on XB while chatting with people on Discord. I've heard mixed reviews saying that you CAN hear other audio (youtube, itunes, etc.) this way, while others say you need to use an aux cable to do so. My other concern is what all would be involved in switching from using it in the setup above (XB gaming + PC chat) to JUST XB use (game + party chat)? My understanding is that THAT would involve unplugging the USB connection from the hub>PC and replacing with hub>XB and flipping the switch to XBOX, right?

Yeah I'm confused about this as well, i have the 1st get Astros were bluetooth wasn't a thing and was able to listen to both pc and console at the same time but if I decided to chat on xbox I would have to directly connect my headset to my controller which was fine but recently my cousin bought a40 with this xbox/pc button and he hasn't figured out how to get audio from both at the same time which is fucking stupid

The Xbox One requires a security chip in the headset for it to be recognized via USB. This chip invalidates the headset on PC, so a switch is required. For PS4 the USB protocol on the PS4 is slightly different from PC so the device will sometime enumerate incorrectly on some motherboards. The switch allows the PS4 A50 to be universally recognized without the need for extra drivers or workarounds.

Zero bass (especialmente no modo "sorround"), volume baixo, plástico e mais plástico. Vou devolver na segunda. Tinha um A40 TR mas são muitos... muuuitos cabos espalhados pela sala. O Cloud, da HyperX, é excelente - mas não no PS4, ligado pelo controle. Som 70% mais baixo que o Gold. O que o Cloud tem em qualidade de construção, peca em qualidade de áudio - NO PS4! Vou tentar o Astro A50 importado (pelo menos, pagarei 1000 reais a menos que no ML).

All I know is for the Next Gen Consoles such as PS5 and Xbox Project Scarlet I would love to see a VR A50 Headset. When you turn your A50 Headset sideways it kind of looks, like a VR Headset which would be awesome to have.

I'm having issues with my astro a50s. I bought them last year or 2. They are amazing. Love them but in having problems now with them not connecting not turning on when I turn it on. I have to hold the 2 buttons to reset it and connect it again to get them working sometimes I have to keep doing it for 5-10mins. I've emailed astro I have not heard from them yet and it's been a few weeks. Anyone else have this problem?

yup, that was my experience with astros, the connection issues you're having is wifi 5g based. Some dumbass decided to use the same bluetooth audio transfer signal at 5g wifi so they compete with eachother. straight junk

You need to put the audio into chat audio instead of all audio and make sure the optic cable is in input on the charging dock.
