How would aspects to ascendant work? Specifically oppositions ? I have Venus in a 0 degree orb and I always infer how to differentiate that from Venus being just in the 7th house

Typically it means Venus ties into how you are perceived and how you present to others. Depending on other aspects in your chart, you will get an idea as to how it manifests itself. But you can treat aspects to the ascendant or midheaven as aspects to that house, like you would with other planets.

what if i have a weak trine? does it mean it’s negative or weak as in not that noticeable/ present

A weak trine is still positive, its just that it's not as noticeable as you would like. Weak trines and sextiles are typically things you do subconsciously that are beneficial. You would have to identify it and make it more of a deliberate habit in order to strengthen it. Hope this helps, feel free to send a message on IG if more clarification is needed.

Great question! These are typically people who don't necessarily require outside factors to resolve tensions since squares usually are internal struggles.
