I'm not one to hate things just because they are considered a cliche. For me, it's all about the person that's giving the gift. If someone sincere decides to bring me red roses and heart shaped chocolate boxes, I love it. On the flip side, if someone wasn't enthusiastic, did it last minute out of obligation, etc, I would hate it. I'm a Cancer Sun with a Leo Venus. The simple act of someone excitedly showing their love thrills me, no matter the medium.

A czech woman here 🙋‍♀️, we celebrate the “day of love” in taurus season, always have, on the 1st of May (we have a famous poem about that day by Karel Hynek Mácha)…since learning about Valentine’s day I always felt like the timing was weird, never felt like celebrating it. I stick to my 1st of May, being kissed under a blossomed cherry tree 🌸.

BIG THOUGHT: At the end of the day, Taurus energy is self-preservation. And in the warm month of May, the collective starts to become selfish with "self care". Not always for others but for itself first. As is Aquarius, BUT in the cold winter months, Aquarius is thinking about everybody "we are in this together". when you think about love, you have to think about being selfless, love in general. Aquarius is simultaneously thinking of everybody else as it still thinks about it self. Aquarius isn't letting their emotions get in the way, they can look at it for everyone's best interest. Its the energy of "everybody" matters that Aquarius brings to the table for Valentines day. Its the "idea"... pisces much like virgo, even though they want to help and show love again a lot of the times it's coming from their own self satisfaction (pisces speaking). Not always coming from a place of love, but coming from a place of possibly boredom and manipulation.

The random things that are in my bags are pills for other people and hearing aid batteries for my foster mother. I just come up from weeding part of the garden as it is the last month of Summer and being in Queensland, Australia it is hot. And as I was gardening I found a flat rock with what looks like a painting on it of a four leaf clover on it. So now I am going to put my energy into it. The most random thing (according to most people- not MY people, but most people) is a 14" giant smoky quartz crystal. Wow I have been channeling all of this 😅 I’m having my Saturn return this year. Saturn is in my 7H so a lot of the things I channel is for the collective and relationships with ourselves and others. I love love love to receive flowers. ESPECIALLY roses. My husband is of the mindset that they die quickly, so doesn’t see it as a good gift. Even though I’ve repeatedly said that EYE do! *eyeroll* lol. So one year, he bought me one of those real, but “forever” flowers, that they process somehow and they look in bloom for years. The weirdest thing I found in my bag are some blank white stickers - can't remember why I put them in there. As for blueberries - I am in New Zealand and we've been picking soooo many blueberries from our garden, yum! I have flowers nearby, but the bees 🐝🐝🐝 will find your blueberry bushes once they start to flower - mine are teeming with bees in springtime. I do love surprises and yes it is romantic to send roses. Must be the Virgo in me. And to think I am 56 years old and I can honestly say I have never received a Valentine's Day gift ever so that day to is just another day for me. So am thinking that I might just buy myself a bunch of flowers like I do when my birthday comes round and the same with Chistmas as I know what I want to get for myself. Okay so on the note of flowers: I'm a Leo moon, merc and mars but a venus Virgo, and for me - I LOVE receiving flowers, especially roses, for any sort of gesture, including v day. HOWEVER- the plant for my garden will always surpass that and mean far more to me, because it's a gift that continues to give, helps the planet. And bears more reward (imo) than a bouquet. Granted I'll always dry the roses and still keep them, but I'd much rather see the love in my garden grow every year, if that makes sense. The way I can understand Valentines fits in Aquarius is by looking at its shadow sign Leo. Leo loves adoration but also speaks to making sure your own needs are met. I always feel like Aquarius is the "Alien", the collective. But how can the collective be served if we neglect the inner child, the self. Like you said - how can you give healthily whilst neglecting self? Truest love is knowing self and allowing others to feed into the best of you whilst reciprocating the same attention to them. I'd love roses. I'd also take an aloe plant, a rosemary plant, a basil plnat. If i get an onion sprout I'd be mad, or a dill plant. And i `~like~ those medicines! I would take the roses and distill from them the oil using the alcohol method. The aloe is useful for healing wounds and toning skin. And basil (sweet) is healing and sweetening for soups and to chew to uplift mood. I would prune her and keep her forever! But the all time plant i want is...a Venus Flytrap. I would only accept so from a close friend or my lovers. Guess my sun/moon/rising 😅
