I cant wait to learn more abt this in yr astro school. I hv neptune on my ASC and i think it has made it difficult to discover myself. A lot i have projected outwards upon others ends up being a shocking reflection of myself. I would like to learn to use this tool as a deliberate awareness process rather than a nervous system reactionary process that leads to bewilderment and a reality break. It's been a painful parting of the clouds experience. Lol

Gosh Simon, I'm totally obsessed with this whole "rising sign" topic every since learning of it a few months ago. My ascendant is sagittarius 9° - some sites say 8° - while my descendant is Gemini sun 10°; they are pretty much directly opposing each other and it's been eating me alive with answers such as (it's the MASK, how we SHOW UP, etc.) That makes me feel so "fake". Your perspective has shown a new light on this subject and I truly appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. Though I'm not sure if it's because I WANT TO BELIEVE YOU or is it that it's simply true, however, I'm "feel" that one can't fake a part of themselves.

Simon thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us. Would you please expand my understanding by explaining why the soul comes to body to discover itself? Was my soul lost and in state of unconscious before coming into my body? Was not my soul part of the whole being and wisdom? And it is not where it is returning to? How is a body with all its limitations is the way to self discovery and consciousness? I am sure I am missing the point here.

so can we say that the way to decondition your nervous system is the way of your ascendant, as it is also the place where we undergo the most conditioning in context of how we go about new experiences in our reality (self discovery). so one way to decondition there would be to find balance in the archetype ones ascendant sits in as any imbalances show the conditioning we experienced?

What would be the meaning of planets conjunct the ascendant in the respect that we are actuating the opposite? For example I am a Pisces rising 15 01 with Mars 15 34 and Venus at 11 16... Neptune 1 59 in the 10th conjunct Mercury 3 49 Capricorn...

+Gloria Power Sometimes the hour is unknown, but you should try find out in which quarter of the day at least, some techniques involve facial characteristics, and since theres only one sign of each element in each quarter or the zodiac (quadruplicities) it kind of makes sense, theres a book on zodiac facial looks. Other techniques involve the positioning of saturn in houses according to past life events, when saturn returns to a house it means a new structure, 1 body, 2 earning money and stuff, 3 comunication/knowledge, 4 family/home, 5 self expression, 6 work, 7 relationships, 8 crisis/transformation, 9 faith and phylosophy, 10 goals, 11 groups, 12 the subcontious.

if you can find an astrologer that will use rectification method to try to ascertain your birth time. Using specific events in your life. People in your early days and sometimes the sun sign of a parent and many other indications which can help. this is painstaking work and will probably cost you some dollars, for sure.

Hello Simon, very interesting topic! Question: what is your view on "irreversable damaged nerves"? Medical diagnoses in 2008 by my neurologist. My O.52 Libra Sun is conjunct Uranus, H5. My 21* Gemini ascendant ruler Mercury is Retrograde in same 5th Libra house conjunct Jupiter 11/12*)....also SN conjunct Pluto in Virgo 21*/25*) in this H5 (cuspruler H5 is Virgo/Mercury) 5-11 Libra-Aries is also Intercepted! MC Aquarius 16* and NN Pisces 21* in H11 (traditional house of Aquarius) with Chiron Retrograde 4* Aries. The medical world cannot find the CAUSE of my current and progressing condition. To me it's due to emotional trauma and 'fight or flight'-state.

I am also Capricorn rising and I did extreme changes in my life in the last 5 years. It is also because of Pluto tránsiting there. I'd tell you to aspire to become more aligned with your true self and if your family doesnt accept it its their problem. My family is accepting it finally :)
