The nickle asteroid field - which has more nickle than you'll ever need in the current iteration of the game - is about 1km behind the Theta-9 station (the tube between the two huge asteroids) along with a bio-dome. It appears your run was made before they added more attack drones so people watching now should be aware they are back there.

You can consume them for 25 food.

Nickle, go to the vehicle research buildings, to the left of that go up and over the bubbly stuff go a little further and look to your right you will see a Nickle floating all over the place.

Turn the vehicle upgrade station flat against the end walls of the vehicle station module, then it will fit in there.

Sorry about the info on the upgrade module station, the vehicle docking bay was added after the prologue, and my info was from the prologue. Also, I found your last two miner scans. One is on the large quartz deposit where you found Ethan's keycard. The last is on the way from the warp gate to the yellow 'sulfur dome', where you found the sulfur and where the 'celestite' deposit is. That's the large purple tree-like thing we couldn't do anything with before the last update.

If you go back to the vertical station thing you can scan those and get vertical corridors plus if you go to the yellow dome in that big purple thing you can use your drill to get purple celestite

As others have said - you are making good progress! I wonder if the devs will provide a tool that allows a player to "scan" for metals (and maybe other items). That would be very helpful. Looking forward to the next installment.

You change the power cell on the vehicle except like the batterys on the tools. You need to sit on the vehicle.

Just a reminder that you must "hot swap" the power cells while on the skipper and you *cannot interact* with it whist off the skipper. Also it is *highly recommended* to place a beacon at the "red mine" entrance.

Cool, thanks. I am not worried about upgrading the skipper. I want to use my limited resources on the Summon. I am getting to know the 'map' so hopefully I won't need a beacon. I was thinking about maybe having a little base in the red cave but I'm not sure how big it is.

@@surtrplays I just use the Skipper as a beacon now that I have Jet Pack 3 and the Summon Vehicle. The Skipper is rendered useless except as a beacon and we apparently can't deconstruct it once it's built. I can't bring it into the Vehicle Docking Station and I have yet to find some other way to recover its materials.

For anyone that doesn't know they moved 1 of the Summon Vehicle fragments near a building in the toxic cloud nearest the warp gate and there is also a teleport fragment in the building in the toxic cloud as well.
