Tarmazing It would be nice if that were somehow inherently true. It would probably significantly reduce the risk of basically species suicide risk if there’s an encounter of some kind, improve feasibility of long term shared living quarters and broader mission success. Humans too often suffer from delusions of grandeur and think they’re so big despite occupying pretty much one planet of many. Humans are also prone to aggression/conflict that is often unnecessary or unprovoked at the moment.

In weightlessness, you are effortlessly floating, because all of the acceleration forces on you add to zero. The most comparable feeling is floating in water without the sensation of water on your skin. Because you feel so light, you can move about with the slightest amount of effort. And astronauts don't die because they have got new technologies and spacesuit

Ever been on a rollercoaster? The negative Gs you feel as you drop are your guts lifting inside your body. Space I would imagine is akin to experiencing one negative G all the time(the one -G offsetting the normal force of gravity). There's actually a plane designed for training purposes that dives steeply toward the ground at high altitude. It mimics the effects of zero gravity, allowing the crew to experience it temporarily. It's affectionately called the "vomit comet" lol.

I don't know for sure, but because of the nature of his mission, he might not go into space ever again. He's now a living specimen (and a twin, which is very important) that has been almost one year in space. that's a really good experimental setup. His whole future life will be filled with medical examinations. He and his twin made a sacrifice for all mankind.

They recycle water, and "scrub" CO2 - they have systems that turn waste water (both from the toilet and pulled out of the air,) in to clean water that can be broken apart again. They also have "CO2 scrubbers" that split Carbon Dioxide in to solid carbon and oxygen gas. (The famous "McGuyver task" from Apollo 13 - where the CO2 scrubbers for the Apollo Command Module and Lunar Module used different size/shape filters.) Lastly, every resupply mission (on Russian Progress, SpaceX Dragon, or various European craft,) brings up fresh water, since the recycling systems aren't 100% efficient, and there are losses.
