To anyone else wanting to be an Astronaut, remember the Latin phrase "Per aspera ad astra". It translates to "Through hardships to the stars".

Its not just wanting the opportunity, you have to be in STEM of some sort, the government organization you have chosen means performing some sort of service like being in the military or holding a government position helps a lot, the university you study at is also important, physical health must be at peak capability(no health issues or history of health issues) and most importantly absolute determination to the mission. Its actually just like the military, you must commit fully to the mission regardless of what the outcome may be.

That's near impossible - nasa requires you to have a degree in stem, usually takes 3 years minimum, (unless you get a degree from air force etc.) then at least 3 years experience in a stem/military job then you need to do the application process which takes some time, then the training itself, then you have to wait some time until you get chosen to go into space. But nasa saying that there isn't an age limit may mean it is possible for younger people to join nasa as an astronaut in the future maybe. But that shouldn't keep you down, even if you become an astronaut at the age of 40, it is still an incredible achievement! Work hard!
@TeakOrange3 жыл бұрын
@@ProgNoizesB eh not really. For example, the crew of inspiration 4 needed to train for 6 months just to go up there for 3 days in a small dragon spacecraft, let alone the iss. Yeah sure you might be able to pay a bunch of money to go into space, that doesn't mean there isn't any training, and you would need a load of money, so unless the commenter is the child of Bill Gates or a random billionaire or starts an incredibly successful business before they turn 20, it is near impossible.
