Copying one of my messages. Have you heard people claiming NASA really didn't go to the moon? Well the reason why physicists quickly reject those claims because when you study astrophysics you perform an experiment with laser called lunar range finding. You shine laser beam towards the moon targeting certain locations. Locations where NASA astronauts left mirrors. So the laser beam is reflected and by calculating the time of flight you range the moon. All these years of doing that gave us important information. So yes the moon is moving away from us at 3.8cm (not 4cm) per year. Not just that even Earth is slowing down the rotation by almost 1 second in 400 years. This is because of something called tidal friction between Earth and the moon. The ocean bulge caused by tide leads moon's orbit by around 10 degrees. This causes a tug on the moon at an angle and the tangential component of that tug is responsible for the recession. But don't be worried because this will change with time as a lot of factors go into this and due to changing landscape in future the rate may even slow down a bit. So it may happen that the moon may not even leave us.

I as an engineer would like to know what 8 (!!!) people are doing allegedly in space while this space station has only one SOYUZ TMA escape module with only 3 (!!!) seats? How will they evacuate if something happens with the station - will five of them have to draw the shortest straw or what? Next question would be about air tightness of this gigantic structure with probably thousands of sealings - there will be always leaks, nothing is perfect, sealings degrade over time. That is one way ticket to death. It would be also interesting to know how do they prevent the "medieval" stench in this closed object - they are all sweating, breathing, farting, "relieving" themselves in bags, there are no showers, no washing machines, no chance to open windows to let in fresh air. Quick question If the earth is flat , gravity would be focused on the center of the earth, meaning if you were to go further away from the midde , gravity would be not pulling down. It would be pulled either right or left depending on the location. So then you guys respond that that gravity is fake and we are accelerating up at 9.8m per second. Now you claim again that we are stationary???? If we were stationary on a flat earth gravity would not pull down. Look , it would be impossible to be stationary on a flat earth. And it would be impossible for gravity to pull down on a flat earth , and rather to a specific direction depending on where the center of the earth is relative to you. Now you return to claim that the earth is stationary, the sun is a small point orbiting the earth. and gravity is fake????? This is false and doesnt add up whatsoever.
