@paulsoarjr. if there is a line between the connecting thingies( the circles where you place your resources) such as the storage on your truck it means you can put bigger items on it. If there isn't any lines( such as the normal 3d printed storage) you cant put bigger items on. A big item is for example a research pod.

Paul, for future reference, you can extend from stage one extensions; you don't need a full habitat module to do so. Those extensions are then usable as a central hub for even more platforms. Also, if you put your energy generation on these nodes, it will share to whatever needs it!

Hey Paul, I believe there's a trick to getting more than five platforms for building out of a single Habitat. When you first go to your Hab and click the circular bit that follows you around to get the first extension, that will build a Stage One Extender. While it is stage one it acts like the Hab's base in that it can have multiple extensions. Just click the bit that follows you around like on the Hab to extend a new one. Extending off a Stage One Extender will lock it at Stage One as the Stage Two Platforms don't allow the extension of the Base Line (the black cable holding the power and oxygen transfer from the Habitat). Stage one Extenders are good for putting a single base-sized Solar Panel, Wind Turbine, Generator, Battery or the Storage in it's vertical position. You could install two personal-sized Solar Panels, Wind Turbines, small Generators, or Power Cells. You could use one to hold a couple of resources (more if the Storage is installed of course), a single Research item, or any spare parts that need only two connectors for. Enjoying the game so far, watching for more. :)

paul you messed up you need to build hubs they are the things that come out after 1 rezin it acts just like a habitat but its connected if you turn it into a platform there no way to turn it back only way you can connect the 2 bases now is if you use a vehicle and that might not work

Paul you can glitch your way through the map, simply make a hole, fall in and then cover yourself in it entirely. You'll be floating underneath the map and you're able to see everything under you!

Hmm, if you don't turn an expansion into a building you can get more than 4 buildings on a habitat. Each expansion can branch out into more expansions as long as you don't turn it into a building. Those inyrtmediate expansions are a good spot to hold storage or power producers.

You could make a mobile command base by using the truck chassis, 1-seat to drive it, a habitat next to it for shelter, on the habitat place 1 or 2 small generators, on the chassis build a storage block, and on the storage block place a large solar panel and a large wind turbine. This leaves 2 double slots on the storage block and the front and rear bumper mounts to carry loot or the smaller storage panels.

I'm sure you'll figure it out if you haven't already - but just in case. You can extend from the habitat multiple times if you don't make terminal points right away. Each extended point can itself extend just like the habitat if you don't turn it into some structure.

Hey PSJ, Haven't finished the video yet, but you don't have to turn the little platforms into larger ones (printer, trade, etc.) you can click on the little spinning power nub and extend it again, letting you organically grow your base in every direction. If you do turn a small platform into a large one, you CANNOT extend any further, thought you might want to know so you can build larger bases without making a ton of habitats.

The storage attachment from the vehicle platform is bugged, not the truck. It's the same with the rover. You should make a new truck and rover, since you can't remove the pieces and don't build anything on them. Use the seats you found so you can always detach them. You don't really need all that storage space. Put 1 storage attachment (from the printer platform) on the front of the truck for power and use the rest for transporting "pearls of wisdom". If your going mining just put on more storage attachments (from the printer platform)

When your extending your base from the habitat, extend past the first junction without fully expanding it. Why? because the first stage extension can be used to plug wind/solar/generators/batteries. those first stage extensions will then feed power to the whole base and not just the one platform.

You can store more energy by expanding your base and put on some batteryes. Try to do that, and you will have power during the night too.

Most crashes seem to be centered around multiplayer. Me and a friend started and it did great, then I CRASHED AND COULD NEVER GET BACK INTO THE GAME. Kept crashing when descending to the planet he was on. The game IS awesome though. Hope to see more. :)

Personally I think you should put a wind turbine, solar cell and trade for 4 lithium to make 2 batteries (or more) and expand the base with said items on their own platforms so you won't be so strapped for power. This way the wind and solar will power the base and recharge the batteries. When you use your items the batteries will deplete and it can give you near continuous power.

You can just drag out one more time to extend it out. thus you can have two modules. you calso dont have to put resin. you can also put normal things on it.

you didnt need to make the habitat pod. all you need to do is build a bunch of one resiein expansion platforms but instead of using two more resin to make an area you just extend off that
